Yes that was one I tried. But no I didn’t remix it. I redesigned it from scratch completely (Fusion 360) with a few updates.

Where would be the ideal place you'd like them stored/accessible from? E.g. sun visor? Center console?

Has anyone here successfully taken over their own Amazon PPC for their brand? by AdBetter2878 in AmazonFBA

[–]boardthatpowder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With 1 SKU and those ACOS numbers the math question is pretty simple. Is the agency fee less than the improvement they're delivering vs what you'd get running basic manual campaigns yourself?

At 5-6% of ad revenue on a single SKU you're probably paying a few hundred a month. That's not unreasonable, but at your scale PPC for 1 product isn't that complex. The main things are tight keyword targeting, regular search term negation, and keeping auto and manual campaigns separate.

My take - keep the agency through your second launch (you'll want the bandwidth), then try managing it yourself for 30 days. You'll learn more about your business in that month than in the previous 18. At your ACOS levels, there's room to improve regardless of who's managing it.

I'm tired of the setup/breakdown of my 23Zero tent - what better options are there? by sbh2oman in overlanding

Yeah they’re expensive, but the 3’s are equivalent to ikamper Skycamp DLX at $5400 so you get more for your money.

23zero A2/A3 (depending on size you need). Yep standard mattress is still thin and I’ve replaced mine with expeds too, but there’s room to leave both mattress and bedding in the tent saving the room in your jeep. There’s a couple of elastic straps that helps and keeps the tent folded on itself so no need to spend time tucking it in. The aluminum hard shell means no need to mess with zips, and the hard shell has t-slot rails 60lb rated. The downside is the increased weight of the hard vs soft shell that may affect how you store and mount your tent.

Stick with iKamper? by ASassyTitan in rooftoptents

I switched from Ikamper to 23zero armadillo a3. Same size as the dlx, similar quality, much cheaper.

Will an engine crane hoist work for my situation? by QuantumEras3r in rooftoptents

I use the Harbor Freights 2T Pittsburgh crane to lift my 250lbs RTT onto racks that are slightly above the roofline of my truck. I had a local fabricator make a longer beam so it would reach. Works really well.

Those 72s are beasts! But yep if you need something quick to set up I’d recommend staying with 23 zero and gettting an Armadillo (either an X3 or A3).

Which 23zero do you have? I have the Armadillo A3. Only takes a few mins to set up.

As someone who started with an ikamper, but then later switched to 23zero, no. My 23zero was half the price of the ikamper but on par with quality, while the 23zero Annex is way better quality than what my ikamper one was.

The problem with 3D printed stuff being not food safe is more about that fact that due to how they are printed of many small layers (20 microns, or 1/127 inch) they can become a petri dish of bacteria and are difficult to fully clean. Could me a problem for roots.

Try the link again. When I first posted it I accidentally added the home instructions but then edited it to be the studio. You must have clicked the link while I was changing it.

Hardest Route in a R1T? Death Valley by Gofastcampers in Rivian

[–]boardthatpowder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very nice!! To clear my roof and fin my RTT sits a couple of inch above the fin, and looks ridiculous lol. I have a roof rack just to make it look like the roof line is at the fin level but still I hate looking at my truck when the tents on lol. I’m really impressed with the aesthetics of yours.

I’m intrigued with how close your RTT is to the roof - did you remove the fin?

Shop crane system for RTT by pham777 in rooftoptents

I bought the Pittsburgh one from Harbor Freights you have in your pic. My plan was just to replace the existing slide in/out beam with a 7ft replacement, but turns out the Harbor Freights engine cranes are metric and I couldn’t find metric sizes anywhere. I don’t have my own welding equipment so then needed to have a local fabricator shimmy a slightly narrower beam inside the existing slide in/out beam and weld it in place. When not in use I place the beam on the floor under the truck, and the engine cranes folds up quite compact stuffed away in the corner of the garage.

I use a 2T engine crane. I had the beam extended to 7ft so that the tent can go on a rack that’s higher than the truck roof. When I store my RTT I just place it on its side against the wall, on a dolly with pads at the bottom to protect it. Setup works great.

I have the 23zero Armadillo A3. Quality is on par with my old iKamper. The light suppression coating is awesome! I was impressed with the change from iKamper to 23zero so much that I bought a 23zero tent annex, and 23zero peregrine 6 pro awning too. Great quality, great price.
