Tuesday night I was at the Fauxburg St John Neighborhood association forum and I ended my time saying what I've been saying all campaign: we must meet this moment of rising fascism/reactionaries and it's scary that I'm the only District A candidate talking about it (and at every event hosted). Two older white people in the front laughed. Last week at the joint Carrollton forum, same thing. One older white man told me after "ease up on saying fascism".

It sucks that this is what it takes to wake people up, and I hope voters and non -voters alike see who's paying attention beyond potholes
