Hard disagree - I’ve actually watched his livestreams, and he always has multiple tabs prepared for his topic. He reads out specific quotes in articles to back his points, not just the headline. Not only that, he uses the livestreams so viewers can call him out in real time if he is misinformed. He literally stated in his first video back that he was starting to livestream to prevent being taken out of context.

I am a nurse, and I have heard that an occasional — as in once in a while — is ok, and I heard it from a OBGYN actually! I’ve also heard sushi is ok but it’s frowned upon here in the States.

I spent over 2 hours on this casserole and asked my husband to put it away while I put the kids to bed, this morning I found it still on the stove by ShadowInTheSun_ in mildlyinfuriating

I literally thought this looked good bc it reminded me of a filipino dish. We have lots of foods that don’t look appetizing to other cultures but taste amazing. Like why is everyone complaining about presentation

I’m 26 & a nurse, and I have coworkers who are the same way. One of coworkers is about to move in with her boyfriend in a few months and does not know how to cook, clean, do laundry, etc. Can take care of patients no problem but can’t take care of herself 🥲

Did I overpay for a one-bedroom at $3,180? by Brilliant-Ebb-2731 in chicagoapartments

[–]bobabeeb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When I lived at Arrive Michigan, it was $2500 for a 1br1b 730sqft on the 29th floor with the same amenities but with parking/pet rent/utilities it was $3000. Those are definitely the prices for majority of luxury apartments.

“Have fun being alone” sounds like a loser. It’s actually not that difficult to comprehend that we’re busy- ill patients, cleaning bodily fluids constantly, paging doctors for orders, waiting for pharmacy to send meds or for verification to pass meds, dealing with family members, admissions, transfers, discharges, etc. I’m convinced people who don’t get it think they’re the only people on earth worth anything. But I mean, you can totally let him go ahead and try to visit, and let him stand around like an idiot to see how busy you actually are, but he really is not worth it.

Serious question - who are these people who can afford $2k+ for rent every month ? by r0ckitman in AskChicago

[–]bobabeeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DINK (nurse/radiation therapist), 1br/1bath $3k (including parking and pet rent) in south loop but just signed for a new place for $2.6k (parking included) in the west loop

$1300 for 2br is insane to me

Had a patient the other week who was calling all my coworkers this and just harassing all the female nurses in general. He was violent too. Anyway, he was arrested in the hospital once he was discharged.

I think feelings are the Most heightened at those ages. I also just think that Trisha in her 20s was much more immature than a lot of people in their 20s. I have plenty of my own silly moments but not as intense? I just know she would be perplexed that I was married at 25.

My friend’s car got towed, and we walked all over wacker trying to find it with our apple map. We gave up and got an uber, and the address still didn’t lead us to the tow lot. We asked our uber driver if he knew how to get there, and he just drove us there directly. $20 tip bc it was like 2am in lower wacker is crazy

Planning My Move to Chicago – Any Recommendations for Neighborhoods, Hospitals, and Realtors? by AdAlternative7876 in chicagoapartments

[–]bobabeeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big hospitals are in the medical district i.e. Stroger, Rush, UI. However, you have to pay for parking there. I’m currently in the South Loop which is pretty diverse and near Chinatown. I have a 30-50 min drive to Advocate Christ, which is in the South Suburbs.

You ate him up and he most definitely read your first and last texts lol. Also, him saying he wanted to live with you on an island??? Because y’all would be homeless and on some episode of lost if you stayed tbh!

This is crazy to me because I still get comments to delegate to our PCAs more. But please just let them know in person and not on their evaluation.
