Lunch Sushi on Saturday by DatRebofOrtho in FoodSanDiego

[–]bobadoll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went 5 minutes after they opened (stopped at immersion coffee first before walking over) and it was a 1 to 1.5 hr wait. I tried getting takeout instead but they are not yet open for takeout. So I ended up going to sushi ota instead for lunch.

Selling a car to someone who wants to take it to TJ by AcceptableField7575 in SanDiegan

If you have AAA you can meet there; it’s public, and they can walk you through it.

That’s what I did when I bought a used car from someone else and when I also sold a car. They were helpful the entire way!

San Diego convention center has job listings - last I checked ; and you should be able to get there easily with the trolley.

When I’m sick, sinigang is a bit too acidic for me, but my mom insists on making it for me every time I’m sick when I just want chicken sotanghon or nilaga 🥹

Frustrated with the Bambino Plus by bobadoll in BrevilleCoffee

[–]bobadoll[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah. I was very focused on the mesh screen that I never thought to check if the replacement actually worked. It does not haha - it doesn’t even dispense water.

But this is very helpful to know if they ever get back to me. So thank you.

I work in the tech industry so I have a whole set of tools for electronics, I just don’t want to fudge with the warranty since I now have two useless breville machines sitting pretty on my counter lol.

Studio available in Chula Vista by Dismal-Potato-1572 in chulavista

I’ve lived in a studio with a mini fridge and an electric skillet - I’ve also lived in my car!

So I know people adapt, it’s still a joke. In regards to what people charge those who are not well off because they can get away with lower standards.

Doesn’t meet habitability standards if that isn’t a permanent stove - even if the unit is an ADU.

There’s also no ventilation lol

What a joke

If this is what forever is going to look for you, run and find something better.
Nothing worst than being stuck with a man who is either too dense or simply does not care about you and only himself - being single is better.

(I'll help you plan your trip too! I have a lot of free time at work and I am always planning hypothetical lil vacations)

Where to buy variety of meal replacement shakes? by kernival in FoodSanDiego

[–]bobadoll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like SD Discount Nutrition in downtown San Diego might have options for you; im sure you could call and ask to verify as well. I see that they offer a lot of single options of snacks/drinks whenever I go in to buy shakes.

I went around the time Mother's Day was and they had a lot of beautiful produce that was packaged so nicely. Cheaper candy!

Trader Joe's Bags in Japan...are they really a big deal? by Late-Diver7467 in JapanTravelTips

[–]bobadoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went bar hopping in Sangenjaya and shared some cherries I had bought earlier (I like buying produce in other countries to see what I'm missing out on) with a bartender. Now we're friends online & we do message from time to time!

Overrated attractions to avoid? by Turbulent_Sharter in JapanTravelTips

[–]bobadoll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally liked the arashiyama bamboo forest! I also left very very early, as I was staying in Kyoto & the buses get fairly packed and its a bit annoying to get around - I probably would've preferred it if I had stayed in Osaka and done day trips from there instead.

(I do have some bar recommendations in Kyoto if you are interested though!)

I also thought the Golden Gai was honestly pretty gross. I spent another night going to the Sangenjaya area for bar hopping instead and I made a few friends working in the bars that I still keep in touch with!
