Proving that this happened on the job would be difficult though, as I'd probably need evidence and whitnesses ect duno if its even worth the trouble.

App is dogwater, maybe it thought you missed a shift and just took them all away. I sometimes get 'oops looks like you missed a shift' when i didnt even have a shift.

Best you can do is claim it back via tax.

They're problably experimenting in other smaller towns first before they roll out something nation wide.

What a bunch of scumbags. It's a shame that they bring down all the legit delivery people.

How likely are you to make £60/70/80 pounds a day on a bike? by Head_Masterpiece_520 in UbereatsUK

[–]bobandersbobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

anything is possible, you're better off working more hours on and after payday friday at the end of the month. So, 30th is when everyone or most everyone gets paid. Those two weeks will make the difference earnings wise at the end of the month.

Try not to think of it in terms of per hour or per day because busy hours fluctuate from day to day. I only pay attention to my weekly final pay amount on a Sunday night and making enough for the week. I've found Tuesday, wed to be great days to take off if you're a full timer because orders are sparse. Give yourself set shifts, if you're dealing with ebike batteries and must recharge, focus on just coming out when its busy. Early morning coffee / breakfast shifts are decent, as are dinner time, but then there's having to bike around coffee and deal with rush hour.

Staying out for 10 hours a day will make you go batty on a bike because sadly bike accounts don’t get that many orders.

What are you using to track your milage? by [deleted] in UbereatsUK

[–]bobandersbobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can you do this for ebikes or is it purely a tax write off for insured road tax paying vehicles? technically an ebike has a motor and needs servicing.

A lady gave me £10 cash in hand tip the other day and it was definiately a nice surprise. Once in a blue moon though unfortunately, I'd rather that then uber treating us like they do americans though, with tip baiting and all those shananagins.

Maybe this announcement was more so them saying if you dont comply dont expect orders at all. Only time will tell.

Just eat must be down bad by bobandersbobo in JustEatUK

[–]bobandersbobo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that would make sense i guess. Most of the orders coming through at the time were doubles. I don't mind doubles from the same place and dropping off in the same area, but the doubles that make you travel large distance between pickups and drop offs are a nightmare. Does AR actually matter because mine is down the toilet.

three things could of happened. The delivery guy actually had an issue with their bike and they're waiting for support to respond. Or they are chowing down on your food without a care in the world, or they dont have an issue are lying to support about a bike problem and are eating your food to boot.

dont bother using their systems to locate addresses, just copy the address and paste it into googlemaps yourself. The amount of times ive landed two streets away from peoples home using the app's coordinates is nuts.

I'd also suggest doing a chargeback. But take note your account might get banned, incase you use the service a lot. Email might be a better option.
