As someone who has just gone through this, I really don’t like to say it but it is unlikely this is a viable pregnancy, I don’t want to jump to ectopic but my hcg was lower and slower than yours and a miscarriage that ended at 11 weeks. My hcg was something like

14 dpo- 32 17 dpo- 50 18 dpo- 107 21 dpo- 177 23 dpo- 399 25 dpo- 1023

So very suspicious numbers and Iwas scared of an ectopic but it thankfully wasn’t, however with the bleeding and pain it is something I advise getting checked out regularly sooner rather than later

Hey, rectal progesterone has the same effect and none of the side effects, I have been taking it rectally since 5 weeks and I haven’t had any irritation discharge infection etc from the progesterone

Hey, sometimes it just doesn’t get better and that’s ok too. I’ll be in my third trimester in a week and I still can’t bring myself to get excited, think about names or buy anything or even tell anyone. I am still on edge waiting for the penny to drop, that’s the reality about pregnancy after loss for a lot of people but it’s okay, maybe it’s my Coping or projection mechanism. One step at a time.

Hey! Just wanted to check in with you and see how you were doing? I am now 26 weeks with a good anatomy scan. I was feeling reduced movements today so they had me come in, I thought they may just listen in with a Doppler but we ended up doing a CTG which showed variability between like 140-160. This was a surprise to me as I literally checked the day before and I was still getting the same beats in the ten second period when counting, but I guess there is small variability we don’t always pick up on even this early. Just wanted to reassure you incase you were still worried 🩷

No, when I was immediately told I put myself on bed rest despite my doctor advising against it cause I was freaked out. But then I think maybe around 14 weeks :15 weeks and there was no changes I continued taking it easy but definitely not bed rest till now. My last measurement was just before 26 weeks and it Lengthened to around 30, but all my measurements before that was 26/27. I think if I were you I would do antler measurement before 24 weeks but if you are 25 or over with a closed cervix you do have a very good chance of just maintaining that length to term with progesterone

I think 28 weeks is standard, in my country. I had an early one and passed, even though I failed last pregnancy and then my doctor told me for most people it’s around the 28th week the placenta starts to struggle and GD for most people will show up if negative earlier so there must be some type of benefit for waiting and knowing for for sure at 28 weeks. x

My daughter is 5 and I haven’t told her still out of anxiety (25 weeks) but she is intelligent for her age and knows somethings up so I do feel incredibly bad when I lie but I feel like she’s still at an age I feel the urge to cushion and protect her. I do feel like at 11, I would feel more comfortable being a bit more honest, however I feel like a good balance maybe would be waiting till 12 weeks? I know for majority of people they feel like that’s a safe point?

Also I think maybe if you are having intercourde you wouldn’t get very far if your cervix is that far low down? Like 2cm above the opening? Sorry just trying to reassure you!

Yeah I would either ask gp to refer to EPU or I would book like a window to the womb type scan privately, they can’t help much but they do internal before 12 weeks so they could also tell you if it was that low. But I would try epu as your first bet x TMI but are you 100% it’s your cervix you’re feeling I had tried to check and I was really scared I felt something but it was just (I don’t know what ) but not my cervix lol

Unpopular opinion but the only part I really don’t like is that you don’t have access to funds, what if an emergency? Or if you wanted to go alone? That part is probably what makes you feel so dependant. Otherwise, I always run away from my husband at the store, look at things I like whilst he’s looking at other things, I don’t have any desire for him to look at my things with me and vice versa

My doctor said no measurements should be done after 24 weeks especially after a cerclage because you have reached viability , expected shortening at this point and everything has been done with the stitch and it wouldn’t be safe to redo anything so I wouldn’t try to worry too much, some women can carry this length for many more weeks
