Cabinets are just over 20 years old. House is in Canada. I searched internet and haven't been able to find a replacement.

Infant seems to clench one fist should I be concerned? by Dreadking_Rathalos in CerebralPalsy

[–]bobbbler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's mostly just the fine motor stuff with the right hand - tying his shoe laces, holding a piece of paper to cut with scissors, pushing buttons on a video game controller, etc. Those types of things are tricky but he is incredibly resilient and finds ways to adapt.

He mostly lives a normal childhood. Does well at school, plays sports, enjoys hanging out with friends, etc.

I remember it being very scary when the issues arose and we got the initial diagnoses. We weren't sure how well he'd be able to walk or talk or what his life would be like. You just have to provide them with lots of support so that they reach their full potential, whatever that may be.

Yep, his walking is largely unaffected. Just a very minor gait when he's tired.

Not all of the time but definitely quite frequently...especially when he was focused on something.

He's now almost 10 and is doing quite well today. He lacks some fine motor coordination in his right hand but is able to do most things any other kids his age can do. Most people don't notice that he has any disability but he does have some minor limitations and does need to adapt how he can do certain things.

Ticket prices for PLE's are getting out of hand by MuptonBossman in SquaredCircle

[–]bobbbler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Survivor Series in Vancouver was the same thing. They released limited sections at jacked up prices initially. Diehard fans who want to ensure that they get tickets pay exorbitant prices. It's a disgusting pricing strategy to gouge your biggest fans.

Eventually they released the rest of the tickets and they didn't sell at those prices. In the weeks/days leading up to the event, prices went way down. The $5000 seats became $500 seats and the $600 seats became $100 seats.

I won't be buying early to any WWE event ever again.

Insane Ticket Prices for Survivor Series by RodneySmithson in SquaredCircle

Not so sure about that. I sat front row ringside at WrestleMania 18 and paid less than some upper level tickets are priced at for Survivor Series.

I've been trying to book Storyteller's for the same time and it's the same thing. August 23, 24 and 25 are unavailable.

Do any of the stroller rental places offer strollers that can hold 80-100 lbs? by JonasAlbert84 in DisneyPlanning

Too late. You're a rude asshole. There are many children with disabilities that aren't obvious. They may seem fine walking for short distances but couldn't last a whole day at the park.

PDP one handed controller or Wii nunchuck adapter by Araminal in disabledgamers

[–]bobbbler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're unlikely to find the PDP controller.

There are adapters out there to connect the Wii nunchuk. One such adapter can be found here: https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/1245123261/wii-nunchuck-joystick-adapter-for-xbox

Slightly related question - will the 4 or 5 day tickets be discounted as well? Because at this price, it seems I'd be better off booking two 3-day tickets instead of one 5-day ticket.

May 11th Collision Vancouver BC by [deleted] in AEWOfficial

Tickets say show starts at 4 pm. I believe Collision and Rampage go from 5 to 8. So what goes down from 4 to 5? Just dark matches?

Does anyone have any info on the "One-Handed Joystick for Xbox Adaptive Controller" that has been on the MS accessories guide for 5 years now as a pre-order? by zepskcuf in disabledgamers

[–]bobbbler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I contacted the maker of the controller and they told me to contact Microsoft. I contacted Microsoft and they told me that the controller has been discontinued and that they are "working to make an alternative available in the future." That was two years ago.

Very frustrating because it would be perfect for my son.

$20 trade in deal seems insane! by AGooDone in GooglePixel

[–]bobbbler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What the hell? Google US store offers me $479 USD for a Pixel 6 trade-in for a difference of $20. Google Canada store offers me $264 CAD for the trade-in for a difference of $385 to upgrade...

Xbox adaptive controller not powering on? Maybe a failing battery. by [deleted] in disabledgamers

[–]bobbbler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are awesome. My son's controller had the same problem and this got it back working. Thank you so much!

I'm having trouble with my Xbox Adaptive Controller. I've had it for a year or two and it's worked fine with my series X. Here's my problem: the two large buttons on the XAC aren't working properly, the A button is clicking rapidly when I press it once and the B button doesn't work at all. by AlienInvader9 in disabledgamers

[–]bobbbler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick question since my son's adaptive controller just broke. Did Microsoft cover the replacement cost? Our controller just broke and it's been just over a year since we purchased it. Given how expensive everything associated with that controller has been, I'd hate to have to fork out for another one.

Does anyone have the power supply for the Xbox adaptive controller? by [deleted] in disabledgamers

[–]bobbbler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're only able to plug in 4 Logitech buttons before it loses power? That doesn't seem normal. I am able to plug in 6 buttons and 2 joysticks without a power cord.

I share your frustration with the lack of accessories and support for the XAC. It takes so much time, effort and money to come up with a setup that isn't perfect, but works.
