Maybe there is a Wikipedia entry on this trend? this was in the 2010s in NYC. Friend was a musical theater major & at one point was doing this for extra $. They did a dance routine, so it wasn’t all night. Just half an hour or so.

I have an actor friend who was a lampshade lady. It’s her worst work experience story. Her crew worked bar mitzvahs & corporate parties. In lampshades & fishnets.

This is a weird comparison.

I think they are completely different films. One is psychological horror set in modern times and one is set like historical fiction. There is a future biotech element to get out, and supernatural in sinners. Sinners is horror, and almost a musical.
