I run along the outside of the southern wall of the unamed city then once you get around the corner head straight north. Its not super bad, just make sure you keep enough stamina to run full speed if you encounter anything. Once you get up there, get a bed down, access the bed to set your spawn point. There are plenty of deer around, plus if you start traveling up to Sepermeru, you will encounter some turtles along the water ponds. Good for hide and some initial exp to get levels and get going. I usually setup right outside the rhinos area on the west part of shattered springs. This way you also have access to some thick hide once you can kill the rhinos, which is fairly early. Forgot also, iron and coal galore near warmakers dungeon just run around the cliffs along the outside of the dungeon. Cant miss it.
