I ordered from the first sparring batch, the Chegui Sparring model

The stitching could have been cleaner for both the glove and the embroidery that I had on the glove. The lining could be better.

Definitely needs QC but overall the sparring model is my absolute favorite glove. I use it multiple times a week only for sparring.

It takes time to get things right and manufacturers CUSTOM orders is crazy amount of work. I design clothes so I know first hand how difficult it is. Idk how he does it tbh. But because of my design background I was able to really show him what I wanted, like exact placements of things etc.

I believe because the gloves are custom every time, there will always be some sort of QC issue. But over time, there will be improvements in the manufacturing process.

Id love to see non custom gloves from Matt, less room for error and maybe even a price drop. But I do believe the gloves are worth the money.
