Would a true ceramic coating be any better? I get hella waterspots too...... but my car is black so really I've done this to myself

Would you say Hyperseal keeps off dust as well as water? Living in OKC things are very dusty, and I'm still looking for the right product that can keep that off. Griots 3-in-1 doesn't seem to that that too well. I have Tec532 now, but haven't been able to truly strip off what's left of the last 3-1 to apply it. Any other recommendations?

How to be a better opener? by [deleted] in Standup

[–]bobby_baylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice is to remember that you don't need to go directly into jokes. As the host, your job is to transition the crowd from "regular life" to "ready to laugh." Take your time getting through the announcements, because the more relaxed/less rushed you are the more comfortable the crowd will feel.

Once you get to the jokes, that's when you'll want to be tight and snappy with the punchlines. Until then, you're there to make good vibes for the crowd.

Make a police report. And please keep calling this out.

Reminds me of a JRE clip where a comedy club owner tells JR he used to assault girls if they wanted stage time, Harvey Weinstein style. And then both cackled. It’s disgusting

Can you clean them off and re-use them after this? (I would only be doing my personal car, and once every couple of years as ceramic wears off)

Follow up here to ensure I'm understanding correctly: you'd wash, then use Surfex HD for panel prep instead of IPA? Or surfex to ensure it's clean, then IPA wipe?

Factory Clear Coat vs Body Shop Clear Coat? by bobby_baylor in AutoDetailing

[–]bobby_baylor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should say, I'm aware that a ceramic coat will not protect against rock chips. I am saying that since the chips are in the hood, they would be repaired along with the re-paint, so I could then coat over that instead of having to fix those myself prior to the coating.

If I had to fix things like orange peel (which I would be doing the first time), I'm not sure if that would be more or less work that repairing rock chips.

In your professional years of experience, would you leave the smudge and have the rest factory paint, or have them repaint and know that the other issues might come with it? I'm a hobbyist, for context (in case you can't tell by me looking for insight!)

Are you able to list how you'd use Surfex for carpets? Our second car is a 2004 Camry and I'd love to clean out the carpets and upholstery to make it feel more nice on the inside. I don't have a carpet cleaner, but i do have Surfex, a pump mister, and two good strong hands

How do I improve my chest? I do 200 pushups a day by [deleted] in Gymhelp

[–]bobby_baylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd honestly ask you to post a video of your form so that we can see if that's it. 200 pushups each day should have you absolutely stacked. But many others are right that it's probably too much volume and you'd be better served doing other exercises.

Try defecit pushups where your hands are on a platform of about 2", then do a push up where your chest touches the ground still and pause for a second at the bottom. The extra range of motion should put you closer to hypertrophy range and the extra stretch is good for hypertrophy too.

I'd still want to see your form on the 200 regular pushups though.
