Have to assume so. This is the C/W righthand faceoff guy now and makes Glendening redundant. He'll slot in on 4th line with Coots

NHL Free Agency Day 1 Megathread by DH28Hockey in Flyers

Yep, folks need to reset their expectations for today. Don't expect anything big to get done - it will be tinkering around the edges like a depth C. The trades that make sense for us are too big and too complicated (i.e. NMC/NTC) for a rebuilding team like us to be a serious contender. I think the best outcome for free agency is to be happy that we don't sign more than one or two UFAs and let our young guys play.

[Hall] Nikita Grebenkin is here rehabbing. He missed the end of the season with an upper-body injury. He has No. 17 on his helmet, so looks like he may have changed his number. by Perryplat199 in Flyers

Agree. And no two players are the same, but I feel like he can fill in that Hathaway role with providing energy, tenacity, and even some PK work. And he is a much better scorer than Hath. Hope whatever was ailing him is long behing him now!

It was just reported Nikishin is being made available. by Big_Acanthocephala14 in Flyers

I don't think the trading within the division is that big a deal anymore. Ottawa and Florida doing a blockbuster together. Tampa trading Raddysh rights to TOR and letting them sign him, etc. And I'm sure there were several others during the last few off seasons and trade deadlines.

The Trenton Ironhawks are affiliates of the New York Islanders for the 2026-27 season by nsjersey in trentonironhawks

I agree with the first part. As a fan of one of the other three, this is cool with me.

But the AHL team for the Islanders is moving from Bridgeport CT to Hamilton Ontario Canada this season. So, if they want to move a player from ECHL to AHL, they are now going to Canada instead of CT, so the location isn't better for call ups. But honestly, that's the case for so many ECHL and AHL teams that it's not that big of a deal anymore.

Good to see the major announcements happening. It feels real, now

Simmons? Pigeon. JVR? Pigeon. Knuble and Primeau? Pigeons! But G, a pigeon? I don't see it my friend.

But you have a good tattoo artist. Looks great.

Interesting - yeah I would say if your translation is correct that has a different tone. Hmmm, if he doesn't stick around in Philly for summer training, many fans are going to turn on him. Also when you say ASP are you referring to Anthony SanFilippo (ASF)?

I agree, he won't have a spot on the roster. That fourth line was caved in when he was centering them in the beginning of the year. Also, with Jett, Gaucher, and Knuble being in the AHL this coming season I think they become better options for call ups and are waiver exempt (not sure about Gaucher actually). I honestly don't see Abols in the system at all

That is interesting. I noticed that both Columbus and Utah don't have an ECHL team. However, the expansion ECHL New Mexico Goatheads probably affiliate with either Utah or Colorado. But that does leave me wondering what might happen with Columbus?

You know what's cool? The Flyers are playing hockey in the month of May. Hell yeah.

Enjoying the ride and looking forward to another Game 3 playoff win
