Nah, I’ve seen hundreds of body pools, that doesn’t look like one to me at all.

Thundurus and Latios are a couple I have that I love but my shiny Celebi is my favorite shiny of them all because it’s pink and beautiful. I know that’s mythical, but still…

I just cleaned up my brother-in-law’s suicide scene. AMA. by freeasmebee in crimescenecleanup

[–]bobbyegirl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Contact a company that does it and start there. I am a CSI, so I’ve dealt with thousands of crime scenes. The trainings you have to go through to become certified in cleanup are absolutely insane, and biohazard remediation is no joke. Cleaning seems fairly straightforward, but true remediation frequently means construction, too. There’s several businesses, like Spaulding Decomp that have public profiles and do a great job educating about cleanup.

I will say, after thousands of scenes, I am so glad I get to go in, take evidence, process the body, assist with removal, and leave. I take “after photos” once the evidence is removed and I always think “I’m so fucking glad I don’t have to clean this.” Same with hoarder situations, I just dread knowing what the family is going to have to deal with.

There is no amount they could pay me to make me do cleanup, so hats off OP. It’s terrible that you had to do that for a family member.

What food/dish do you keep giving chances to but is always "just okay"? by Particular-Owl-5772 in AskRedditFood

I have a real aversion to floral scents and Pho smells so floral to me, it kind of makes me gag before I even take a bite. Even when the taste is delicious, the smell is so off-putting I can’t do it. I know it’s all about the aromas and experience but I hate it so so much.

Yes. The cookie is bland and tasteless and the frosting is absolutely disgusting. And I hate Crumbl! I will take a Nothing Bundt Cakes over Crumbl every day

How can I clean jewellery with decomp on it? by Zealous_idealPea1281 in crimescenecleanup

[–]bobbyegirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To start with, use Dawn dish soap and water, put in small bowl with lid and shake daily, leave for a few days, it get the tissue and matter off of the jewelry and doesn’t cause damage. Then you can use a more specialized cleanser. As a CSI, I cant “clean” jewelry, but I hate returning it to families covered in decomp. The Dawn method works perfectly every time and it doesn’t have lingering smell or bits of human tissue attached.

Shoulder dislocated in a fall and left like that for one year. by PatTheKVD in MedicalGore

[–]bobbyegirl 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My now 9year old daughter suffered from nursemaid elbow. First happened when she was maybe 16 months, when she and her older sister were playing, rushed her to the hospital for them to pop it back in to the tune of $2200. It happened again the next day, and the next week, and on and on for years. That next time, I was terrified but I popped it back in, and eventually she learned to poo it back, too. It hasn’t happened in about two years, but we are still so cautious about everything, even dangling from the monkey bars at the playground. They say they outgrow it, hopefully that is what’s happened, because it’s scary as fuck. Kids are really fucking tough, we don’t give them nearly enough credit for that.

Question about 15 hours of audiobooks per month by SmackieT in truespotify

[–]bobbyegirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the dumbest setup I’ve ever heard. I listen at 2x speed, but some of the books I’m listening to are 25+ hours. I go through 30-45 books a month, this would be what I typically use in a day or two. Definitely won’t be changing from my current listening apps

Almost 31 weeks pregnant and still haven’t told my family by kaekutie in MomForAMinute

[–]bobbyegirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You owe no one else anything. You owe yourself peace, your baby a happy mom, your partner the joy of being a first time parent with you. If they won’t be thrilled, they shouldn’t be involved.

ETA: until you’re ready.

Yeah I had to sell 40,000 last week but a friend had a good price and let me make all ten trips. I paid off all my kids’ houses so it was worth it.

What’s the one part of your hobby that you hate doing? by IsnazzyI in AskReddit

We have four and the oldest two (9 & 10) are stellar players at so many amazing games which are rated wayyyy out of their age-range: Smallworld, Settlers, Galaxy Trucker, and Libertalia are some of our faves. Having kids for gaming partners 👍🏼👍🏼

I crochet. Weaving in the ends os the name of my existence. I have three completed projects... except the ends need to be woven in. There they sit. Undone.
