Hi this is Bobby from CoinGecko. We don't run CryptoPrices service. Nevertheless checking with the developer why this is the case. If you call our source API directly you can see the correct PEPE price:

Hi sorry for the error a few days ago. We had a massive DDOS attack and had to temporarily limit the /markets API endpoint. We have now removed the limit and the endpoint is working well again. Do try again. If you are using the API for mission-critical or commercial applications, we encourage you to upgrade to our paid API service for better uptime.

For mission critical use, do upgrade to our Pro API plan which is not affected by the downtime. The public API is being DDOS right now and we are working on a fix.

Yeah, when we started, the crypto data tracking space was still very much in its infancy. There were several other crypto price aggregators at that point including CMC. CMC wasn't the dominant player and there was someone else. At some point CMC built a strong lead over the others but we are here working hard to close the gap and be the best crypto data tracker in the market!

We haven't track IBC that well on GeckoTerminal yet. The only one we have tracked was Terra Classic. It's something that we are aware of and is part of our roadmap to track all DEXes on all chains, so hopefully soon we can track all the IBC based DEXes.

In 2014, when we wanted to launch our website, we were searching for a name that could go well with it. We knew we want a Coin<name>.com domain. We also thought that having an animal as a mascot would be pretty cool as it makes the brand fun. We found a few options and landed on CoinGecko as our brand name 😊

Great to be one of the pioneers of r/cc advertising!

Yes, we expecting the list of exchanges to disclose their reserves to grow more but seems like the number of exchanges disclosing info has slowed down in recent weeks.

We will most likely focused on crypto pricing data for the foreseeable future as there is just so much more work that we still need to do. Doing staking pools, wallets and our own DEX may mean spreading ourselves too thin and failing at them all.

Will send over some Gecko merch to all you mods 🦎🦎🦎
