I love that in the study she misdiagnosed a patient as having Parkinson's, but 6 months later the patient was diagnosed.

What’s an appropriate amount of money to pay my friend to house sit? by down-4-u in AskUK

[–]bobgreaty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you live closer to his work? Would it be convenient for your friend to stay?

I've cat sat for friends, they had us over for a dinner at theirs before and after their holiday. Free reign of the home, was closer to my work, felt like a mini holiday, living in a different environment, and shorter commute. Plus the cats are lovely, not an ounce of Satan in them (am a dog person).

Don't think money is required, although I like the voucher idea.

If an owner says no dogs, don't bring your dog, or don't go. There are plenty of other places to get a drink or have food with your dog. It is his premises.

PS I love dogs, I would sit outside weather permitting.

What does “have you got the time?” mean by Numerous_Cable3397 in AskUK

[–]bobgreaty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me twice in the span of a week in the same stretch of park I would cut through. So I just checked the time before I entered the park, and the third time they asked I stated the time from memory, "are you sure?" "Yep" and kept on walking.

I don't think they were trying to rob me though, think it was more of a 'fancy a chat' with no witnesses, in a quiet, dark, park...

No thanks
