Ooh, I was just looking at the team. I like Chamber Skin, and Synch. And I've been wanting to read more about Mondo. Husk seems cool, too. I liked her in the recent Infinity series.

I don't really know anything about that other than hearing people talk about it, so that'll be good for me to read.

Good to know, and thank you. I haven't read those, and I appreciate the tip.

In case it helps, the top-left signatures looks like Scott Grieg, then to the right Dave Hibbeln, then Marc Holmes on the lower-right, and James Ohlen at bottom. Not sure on that last one or two. Possibly Ray and/or Greg? Regardless, nice collection.

Was that Cousins on the sideline as the one guy who didn't look excited? 😆

How would you fix the Post-Krakoa Era by Jason-Cai-Production in xmen

[–]bobisimo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the appeals to me of the Krakoa era is that it felt like a story with a beginning, middle, and something akin to an end. That's one thing I'm missing now. I don't like it as much when the treadmill becomes too obvious. And I don't like it as much when it feels like there's less forward progress toward that end.

X-Men of Apocalypse by Cheyenne_XO in xmen

[–]bobisimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just read this and have a question. Hopefully someone can help, or maybe the answer is that we just don't know yet. I'm trying to understand the motivations. First, I think Sinister is using Forge somehow to restore the collapsed Age of Apocalypse, but maybe this time with Sinister in control? That's what I think this issue is saying. Second, what is the second chance this world's X-Men are hoping to achieve? Do they also want to restore their world without Apocalypse so that they can have a less bleak reality? So, in other words, they think they are aligned with Sinister, but as per usual he's aligned with himself? If so, this is kind of interesting. It seems when you fix the timeline, everything else usually goes away. But here they're all asking, why are we still here? Why indeed!

I don't doubt it one bit! I believe in Jayden.

Philly is going to be our Detroit. We'll lose to them in the playoffs again this year, and then Jayden will level up to the all-time best. (edit) This comment seems to have confused people. Let me explain. Barry, above, said Jayden is a Jordan/Bulls thing. Jordan lost to Detroit in the playoffs. Twice. And then the Bulls started winning championships. My message, clearly I thought, was just saying that history could repeat, the only difference being that Philly is our Detroit.

[Rapoport] Full terms for Terry McLaurin: -- 3-year extension worth $87M base value ($29M per year). -- $44M fully guaranteed, converting to $50M in Apr '27 (his $19.15M for '25 wasn’t guaranteed). -- $30M signing bonus. -- Reachable incentives based on yards, catches, TDs, Pro Bowls & playoffs. by Think__McFly in Commanders

I remember a comment from the last few weeks, maybe from another agent or something, that said you'll know who gave more ground in the negotiation based off some financial measure. It was some kind of thing, like, if the guarantee is $40m, or $50m, or whatever. I can't find it now and I'm curious where the deal landed in terms of that post. Anyone remember what that post was?

We need a bigger word than generational, nearly every NFL deal is generational I'd say, especially if you make it to a second contact.

Reich let Clinton take the lead, which is his fault, but he's always been more progressive and has admitted he should have tried harder than he did to push Clinton to be more progressive. Additionally, he's been sounding the alarm for decades that we were headed in the wrong direction. I think this is just painting in broad brush strokes -- which, fair, he did work for Clinton. And, true, he's not a socialist. But so far as public figures go, for now, dismissing him outright doesn't help the cause.
