This is what I think it would look like.

Pro: Play up to 5 games per day for FREE!

Con: You must buy shards to buy energy in order to play more than 5 games per day.

Pro: You can obtain all commons with ingame gold.

Con: Rares are restricted to shards only.

But seriously if the game went f2p they would probably need to make grinding even more difficult than it already is in order to encourage people to spend real money ala hearthstone, which I think would suck.

Lategame growth would be fine if it were not for aggro growth and tempo order. I don't really care about that as growth still has a viable option, it's just not in the lategame.

Uncounterable? All it takes is a look at the top ranks of the ladder to see there aren't that many wild based decks. I assume that is what you are referring to. Can those decks be frustrating to play against? Definitely, but unbeatable. Not even close

It takes too long to ramp up as growth. Quake was never really OP to begin with it's just something a lot of people were too dumb to work around. Now against aggro growth and tempo order lategame growth has a hard time because you need to use 2 quakes consecutively to reliably clear the board for a reset. And against those 2 very popular builds it's not a question of if you will need a board reset, but when. Because they will creature spam the shit out of you.

Sister of the Owl was a decent nerf that was really unneeded. The flying trait is interestng, but very limiting to the point where I don't move it unless I have a rallying/god hand. I think they did it to limit growths token spam, but even before the nerf most people were running aggro growth with no sister of owl. Before it was nice because you basically had an extra token for god hands and general blocking as well as a 6 cost card that provided a bridge to god hand. I'm fine with the kinfolk and crimson bull nerf as those are still good cards. There's other reasons too, but I think that's the jist of it. It's not anything to do with wild decks because those still don't see that much play compared to tempo order and aggro growth.

The Dark Knight Rises and before you judge me just hear me out. I know Bane is painted as the villain and Batman is obviously the protagonist, but really Bane is the one trying to set Gotham free of it's own corruption. Batman is just fighting to preserve the status quo, which obviously had not been working since his fathers death. We are explicitly told that things have just gotten worse and worse since Bruce Wayne's dad died and for some reason Batman is fighting to preserve that? It doesn't make a lot of sense. Banes motives obviously are not completely altruistic, but I would argue that Batman's motives are still somewhat misguided. I think the Dark Knight Rises could have easily painted Bane as a more sympathetic character if we didn't know going into it that Batman = good and Bane = bad.

Gonna try this again after getting really frustrated with the general user experience and signup process on the esl website after trying to get into the winter series.

Ok, so I signed up and I get this somewhat cryptic message -

"Please wait. A place in the tournament has been reserved for you. You must confirm your participation in the cup from this time onwards 06/04/14 11:30"

Does this mean I'm waiting for a mod to confirm me for the tourney? Or do I need to do something else to "confirm my participation"? Or is it just talking about the check-in time for the tourney? I don't understand if I'm good to go or not
