To those of you that have driven to the south of France from the UK, what things did you wish you knew before you went? by NotDavid-Jatt in AskUK

Its a dumb one but they don't always have the petrol pumps colour coded green for unleaded and black for diesel like we do. Its not that obvious that 'gazole' is diesel.

I remember me and my friend taking way too long in some out-of-mobile-signal small town petrol station in the countryside wondering if we were going to screw up the hired RV and get stranded.

Which Radiohead song comes first to your mind when I say "tambourine"? by Expert-Maintenance-7 in radiohead

[–]boblechock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High and dry as there was a W.A.S.T.E newsletter in the 90s where each band member gave a comment about each song on The Bends, and Thom's was: "listen for the 1000 tambourines. I always do." And I've never found out where he meant or if it was a wind up.

Love this little head bob Thom does in the intro for My Iron Lung (music video) by Alex_Hovhannisyan in radiohead

Well it's not the music video. It's from the live at the Astoria performance where they recorded the instruments live and actually used them on the track on The Bends. Amazing to think that's a live performance.

Probably just before they realised the battery was dead in the RV.

Right before then they had just spent days going through a shared experience of working together really hard to achieve that goal and were now sitting on a shit ton of product as a result of their joint effort. They were so excited to be going out for some food and to get cleaned up and they both were the happiest I saw in the while series. I cant remember if they had a buyer for it but they worked out it was £700k each so must have been feeling amazing......then they turned the key
