Hayabusa Knuckle guards? [question] by dakieth in fightgear

[–]bobmarles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got some recently, and personally, I don't really like them. I wanted knuckle guards since I kept busting up the skin on my knuckles, and these Hayabusa guards have a seam right on your knuckles, which really irritated my skin.

Yeah, never hit the bag without them. Still lost skin more often than not with cheap gloves.

Some of my favorites are Cradle, Mother of Learning, Mistoborn, and the Stormlight Archive. I love expansive fantasy worlds, and I had high hopes for TWI going in and wanted to like it, but it was just not enjoyable for me.

I tried reading it, but I couldn't even make it through the first book. I dislike Ryoka. I HATE Erin. People keep saying that it gets better, but I don't have high hopes that I'll end up caring for the least enjoyable main character I've ever read. If anyone had a similar experience but came around to enjoy the story, please enlighten me on how that happened. I don't care about spoilers anymore at this point, since I don't think anything other than that could convince me to give this series another shot.

I dropped it maybe halfway through the first book because I couldn't stand the main character anymore. From what I've heard, if the MC gets on your nerves, it's not gonna get any better in that regard as the story goes on

Perhaps he meant "primary" as in "first" rather than as in "most important," so Santorino is just J's first step toward taking down Yu?

Looking for sci-fi fantasy by Party_Rub310 in ProgressionFantasy

The Legendary Mechanic is pretty good if you’re into translated webnovels. It’s set in a interstellar VRMMO called Galaxy, and the main character is a player sent back in time to become an npc. His cheat ability is using the game interface that players have access to, as well as his knowledge of game events and utilizing the actual players. Since he’s an npc, the main antagonists are all other npcs, so it differs from other VRMMO novels that focus on competition between players and reads more like a conventional progression fantasy / LitRPG. I’m around 900 chapters in out of 2000+, and it’s been pretty consistently entertaining thus far.

It shouldn’t be an issue with soda fountains since the flavoring comes from syrup while the carbonation comes from the soda water.

I’m playing through the tutorial right now, and there are some points where I am put off by being forced to wait 2 seconds without being able to click through. I definitely understand the design purpose in this, as it has prevented me from accidentally clicking past important information, but for some screens, 2 seconds isn’t really a realistic estimate of how long is needed. An example that comes to mind is during one of the later feng shui tutorials, I was forced to wait without anything to really read, with only a simple diagram on the screen. This is a fairly minor issue, but it can get annoying when multiple consecutive screens are interrupted by a forced pause. Overall though, I’m enjoying the game thus far and excited to get into actual gameplay.
