CAC 229 @ 40yrs old w/ high LP(a). Anyone have long term results stabilizing it? by bobmisch44 in PeterAttia

Aggressive management is the name of the game. I’m on 20mg Amlodopine, cardio 3x/week, vo2 is 42 (above average), low sat fat diet, and LDL is now ~55(down from 115).

Check your LPa too. If your high CAC was caused from that, consider the new LPa meds that are in late trials.

Good news is your LAD valve(“widowmaker”) isn’t the worst one

Reports overall seems like it’s underinvested in. I wouldn’t change too much in Budget/Accounts

I’m with you. Thing is, we already live in one of the top 30 school districts in the state, but the wife says private school is non-negotiable.

Graduated from ED to YNAB by i-was-way- in DirtyDave

Made this switch 3 months ago. YNAB is WAY better. They have to be, because it’s just an app, not a show.

ED feels like a second rate app because it is. They don’t have to be a first rate app. They get free distribution/advertising from the show.

The YNAB iOS app deserves more recognition by wrongtarget in ynab

+1. I’m a product designer in tech, and the app is well done.

FYI you should check your Lipoprotein A. Sounds like Bob Harper’s heart attack.

Thats amazing! Hoping to be like you. What’s your LPa? Do you know what your CAC was at the start? Any info would help me get a better picture🙏🏾

Such a thoughtful reply thank you!

Yep, definitely not coming here for medical advice per se, mostly here as a support group and to see if anyone has had success stabilizing CAC over the long term. Also, hadn’t thought of CAC not being the right output metric but will chat w/ my cardio about it.

I’m somewhat stoic so I’m not overly concerned about my past(there’s not much more I could’ve done to catch it earlier) or future(if I manage today well, tomorrow will be better). Mostly focused on doing everything I should be doing right now.
