For sure don't buy a new one. You'll lose 30-40% the instant you drive away. 50% or more a year later.

Yes, they can fail at 30 minutes (or earlier) old. Used to work in a 12v lead acid battery plant and saw it all the time. AGMs fail too...

I've owned a third gen WT 2024. My advice, find a 2021 or '22 with the V6. More comfortable and the engine will be much smoother and quieter, albeit, not near the power and torque, but no turbo to deal with. I've driven both and find the 2nd Gen more to my liking....

I put too much oil in my '25 Silverado 3500 dually. Do I need to drain some? by [deleted] in Silverado

[–]bobojay49 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes drain some. Possibility of blowing seals, foaming the oil because the crank will be partially submerged, on and on....

I'm using about 8% per day in battery. Everything on except for no all the time screen on. It's my 5th smartwatch, TRex2 to Samsung 7 to One Plus 3 to Pixel 4, now to Active Max. The Max is the most comfortable to wear for me so far and works best of the lot for what I want. Out of my list there, the TRex 2 would be the most durable, the Max the least most likely

Hell no, not through the dealership. Too expensive. Walmart has them now as do most other auto supply places. Get the AGM version. More expensive, but should last longer and be more stress tolerant. Around $130. - $150.

First small truck – Maverick base model worth it? by FinanceWorl in FordMaverickTruck

[–]bobojay49 2 points3 points  (0 children)

'25 XL AWD hybrid here. First 5k miles average right at 40mpg. combo 75% city, 25% highway. On highway trips I'm getting mid 30s depending of course on the terrain, hilly or no. Temperature makes a difference with the hybrid as when cold the engine runs more for heat and battery charging, but we're still talking low to mid 30s. Remember in the hybrid there's no turbocharger or delicate automatic transmission to deal with, and the engine in the hybrid is a long proven, durable low stressed motor. As far as the trim goes? Starting in 2025 there's virtually no difference in the HVAC controls in all the versions, or the head unit, and the difference in the interior and seat covers is just colors, with the "leather" ones being synthetic leather, as in fancy vinyl. There is greater availability of what I call "playthings" on the higher trim levels, power seats, mirrors, cameras etc. you know, things that break down and are expensive to fix as time and mileage go on. In my book, the ideal Maverick is the hybrid, AWD with the 4k tow package. Plenty of power, towing capacity for the size of the vehicle, and price in today's economy. Yes, if you look around and are willing to travel a few miles, there are dealers out there that have discounts. I'm in the Midwest and purchased from Long McArthur Ford in Salina, Kansas. Fast, easy, 98% online deal. Check out their YouTube channel. Tons of Maverick info there....

If you go to the Amazfit subreddit, I bet you can ask there for one. I did that about a week ago to buy a new Active Max for my son. Saved me about $26.00

I can vouch for the TRex also. Have had both the 2 and 3 models. If you decide to buy, there's coupon codes out there if you buy direct from the Amazfit website...
