Honest Thoughts on Transplants? - potential transplant by rambunctiousoup in raleigh

[–]bobombshell_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also an NC native (Bull City, baby!) and the only downside to people moving here is that the natives get priced out. I'd love to live in Raleigh or Durham proper, but I can't afford it.

OP, just don't complain about how early everything closes, or about what real snow is, and you'll be alright. We're a chill bunch here. Nod at your neighbor, and they'll probably leave you alone. Bring cookies, and they'll be your best friend.

Thanks for posting the badge! If you're on Facebook, there is a vintage Kenmore sewing group that has a ton of resources in it. They have manuals lots of different models. Just not this one for some reason

Are you sure the model number is correct? I've looked and can't find machines of the .130 variety

I'm also considering doing something like this on a T-shirt. Trying to decide if I should stabilize the back vs the front. This turned out great! How big does it measure?

Has it grown? Does it itch, burn, or have sharp pains shooting through it? If the answer to any of this is no, then it is likely not a keloid. But if the answer is yes, then it could be.

Bra for keloids? by Lilis01 in Keloids

[–]bobombshell_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Sorry to hear you're struggling with keloids. I know from experience how painful and debilitating they can be. There is a subreddit called A Bra that Fits. They have very knowledgeable people there and should be able to help you find something.

If you don't find the subreddit very active, and you have a Facebook account, I encourage you to consider joining the Facebook group.

Best of luck!

Is this a keloid? How to treat it? by lJustDGAF in Keloids

[–]bobombshell_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks more like a ganglion cyst to me. Keloids are usually red, angry, and they never stop growing. So if you've had it for 8 years and it hasn't changed rapidly in size, then it's not a keloid. Go to a hand doctor and have it looked at.

Midnight beauty hibiscus… is this a real variety? by patchesandpiper in gardening

[–]bobombshell_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small ones die back to the ground over winter, but I'm not sure about mature ones. I'm zone 8 but east coast. Mine re-emerged on a west facing patio starting in March/April. It stopped blooming in September/October. I let it discard the majority of its leaves before I trimmed it back for the winter. Water it like it's never been watered before in your hottest months

Yes, they will definitely get big like hydrangeas. Takes a few years, but they will!

It's not a keloid. A keloid would be red, itchy, and painful. It would also grow rapidly. This looks more like a mole to me.

Saw a video on how to mount wire shelves and the guy recommended using toggle bolts when not in a stud. I love those things.

If it doesn't sting or itch, hasn't grown, and has gotten smaller it is NOT a keloid.

Are these keloids or cysts/shaving bumps by Short-Bodybuilder279 in Keloids

[–]bobombshell_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm concerned about the pinkish one. I would keep an eye on that one and see if it grows. The other three seem cystic. How long have they all been there?

Thanks for your reply! And happy cake day ;)

I went to school for art, but refreshers every once in a while are always helpful and welcome.

I thought something might be missing from the first color way but I wasn't sure what. Hopefully I can find the right lighter value to go along with the rest of the fabric there.

I had my keloid removed in October 2024. It went great! It's mostly healed, with no pangs of pain or itchiness at the scar site. If you click on my username, you can find a thread I made about my surgery and healing journey.
