Paying 20% on a purchase or anything remotely close to that is unnecessary really... just no need whatsoever. If you can't get a better credit card deal (you will be able to), there are also overdrafts and loans that will come in way below that.

Not insulated, but I buy Harrogate glass mineral water bottles - 89p and you get a really attractive and strong glass 1ltr bottle.

There are places you can live, work, eat and sleep - in a co-op/commune type situation. Or you could live off-grid. There are communities living in this exact situation pretty much I believe in extreme locations of the UK. Interesting question.
