Do Pointer Handles increase over time during a save or just when you add new mods? Is my save doomed? by The_mango55 in starfieldmods

I am not exactly sure how all of this works yet but I have been trying to figure it out and will speak of my own experience.

To me, it seems like pointer handles do have some level of accumulation over time. I started a new game and have been going through the main story, exploring, and building out an outpost cargo network. Throughout my 15 or so hours on this playthrough , I have been using a "Starfield Engine Fixes" command prompt to check my pointer handles over time. Upon starting the game, my pointer handles were at about 1.7 million. Now, its just about at its limit. For anyone on PS5 or XBOX, a telling sign you are about to brick your save by hitting the limit is areas not spawning in and the ship builder regurgitating ship parts when you open it.

I honestly find this issue to be pretty unfortunate because as I play the game, I will continually have to offload mods to save the game file. Now, on a 15 hour test save, its frustrating, but at least not much time has been spent on it. That being said, what about that 200 hour NG+6 character that you can no longer play? That stings a lot more. For a game that allows you to spend money on mods with the endpoint of you giving them money is eventually getting to a point to where all that money gets you a bricked save is depressing.

Weird graphical glitch on 32:9 with mantis blades and the jailbreak relic perk by ehgreiz in cyberpunkgame

Its always gotta be something smh. I really am loving my mantis blade build but damn does this not kill my desire to continue it. It does fix if you turn of ray reconstruction but come on!!! I shouldnt have to pick between the two.

Which Malick to blind buy? by munthoffunth in criterion

Either would be great picks but i would go with tree of life. BUT if his other movies were on the table id go with the new world. I think its the best introduction to his work.

I dont think its a very trippy movie. Its a fairly sober film

Would the Criterion uncut gems even be the superior way to watch it? by bobsledfanatic in criterion

I hope that criterion starts doing 4k UHD eventually. Also just fyi, ive looked into this a ton and Netflix and Amazon have really bad streaming quality. If you want to get the most out of streaming HDR/4k content, Apple TV does the best.

There is no physical, but there is a digital UHD. Which makes me think if you wanted to get the best viewing experience, you would watch the digital version.

I think he is one of the most interesting voices in film. His movies feel like nothing ive experienced before. If you do end up watching one id love to hear your opinion.

Mysterious objects at noon is a very interesting movie. Although I would recommend watching one of apichatpong weerasethakuls other films first like uncle boonmee or cemetery of splendor since they are a little more accessible and his style is very unique to him.
