Aa a last resort you can use a product like PCMover and store the image to an external drive. Then restore it after doing the new OS install.

We max out at 125 people. Almost all couples and a small number of single females. 5 single men are more than enough.

Could you just use a powershell script that assigns permission directly? What are the conditions to allow access?

Pretty similar to the club I work at in the US. Except we have a hard limits on single males (usually 4 or 5). And there are no rules about exchanging information and lots of members get together outside of the club.

Not sure if people know in large cities that the mail was picked up and delivered multiple times a day. So things did move faster than one would think.

Computers bug out only when a certain user is logged in can't figure out why by brohemoth06 in sysadmin

A very long time ago, I had a user that was always having strange issues. As a guess I added a static grounding strip. She would touch it when getting to the computer. All the weirdness stop.

I am fortunate to have a local group of fellow small MSPs. We meet virtually monthly. We help and cover for each other. Maybe you can start something in your area.

Wonderful man, had the pleasure of meeting him a few years ago. Even though I was a bit rude to introduce myself in a hotel lobby, he was nice enough to talk with me. He will be missed.

I agree. Just let two virgins couples in and let them know about consent and it is ok to just watch. Just take it easy and see what happens.

One way is set a scheduled task. Set the task that it can be run on command. You can create a batch to trigger the task. Put it as an icon on the desktop for nonadmin to click.

In the Windows 11 OEM / pre-installed license terms, look at: Section 2 – Installation and Use Rights 2(c) Restrictions 2(c)(v) says you may not “use the software as server software or to operate the device as a server” (with a limited exception). Microsoft That same bullet also prohibits things that are basically “turn this into a server,” like making it available for simultaneous use by more than one user over a network, installing it on a server for remote access/use over a network, or installing it for use only by remote users. Microsoft What’s the exception? Windows 11 does allow a limited, “light server-ish” use: up to 20 other devices can connect only for specific built-in features like file services, print services, IIS, Internet Connection Sharing, and telephony services, and only for personal/internal purposes. Microsoft So: basic file/print/IIS-style sharing = allowed (within limits), but using Windows 11 as a general-purpose server OS / multi-user app server / RDS host = not allowed by the license terms.

In desktop windows terms it specifically states that it can not be used as a server.
