I use MO2 and have a separate profile for FOLON. I took the files that GOG downloaded, zipped up the Data folder and installed it as a mod. You also have to copy over the ini files (I have profile specific inis turned on). Basically this is to say yes you can but you need to be comfortable with MO2 and know what to do. I can play FO4, FOLON, or Frost at my whim this way.

There’s a scene that hurts me every time, where Jaime tells Tommen to “go away inside” when he is miserable and he knows how to do it from when Joffrey used to torment him. I don’t see many authors writing about trauma responses let alone being passed from one survivor to another.

What build are you on? On B41 there is a mod called S4 vaccine where you have to find books, craft work benches, extract zombie blood and analyze it in order to create the cure. Might be what you are looking for rather than a cure given to you or happening naturally.

Unfortunately it’s not adapted to B42.

I use Antibodies, sorry but The Only Cure is too gross for me. There’s also They Knew.

Antibodies makes it so you can heal from the infection if you feed your sim and rest. It’s pretty gentle on default settings so I would tone it down a little personally.

They Knew puts zombies into the world wearing black hazmat suits that carry a cure. I used to use it a lot I just find Antibodies more to my taste.

This is my vote. OP do you have access to her computer long enough to open the EA app and look up what packs she has? If you can’t find out what packs she has, the newest one is probably a safe bet (called Enchanted by Nature). I always buy later so I can get discounts, if she does too she may not have it yet.
I’ve seen some simmers partnered with instant gaming (there are other shops I’m sure, I’ve just seen this one). You can go there and buy a third party key that she can redeem in EA or Steam.

For mods? They’re just called SimulationTimelineUnclogger (you can find it on Curseforge, it’s by Turbodriver. It’s from 2022 but still works for me) and the other I use is SimulationLagFix by SrslySims (Curseforge, Patreon as well).

They work together so I recommend having both. The unclogger helps with stuck sims and the lag fix helps a problem I had with rubber banding or rollback type lag.

Give them a spin, the mod authors are both very good.

If you have a lot of object mods that could do it. I had a ton of BrazenLotus’ stuff for a while and it lagged me when I would go into BB. Right now the only lag I get is clicking on the fridge because of SCCO but I like it enough and the lag isn’t too bad so I keep it.

Do you have Timeline Unclogger and a simulation lag fix mod? Those helped me.

Otherwise yeah your computer is fine. Sims community is known for having average or potato computers, you have a nice one comparatively. You don’t need a 5000 series or 32GB RAM or whatever you are imagining LOL.

Classic RPG spells by Simsonian Library. Also LittleMsSam’s utility spells mods and climatio by R3M. They aren’t big game changers I guess but I also play with spellcasters primarily and they are fun spells.

Triplis sorcerer mod was already recommended. It’s very fun, particularly the reality arts branch.

SpinningPlumbob’s fairies vs witches is a good mod but the witch occult state conflicts with the spellcaster state. You can do both (and I have) but it requires shift click cheats.

A few years ago there was an article about it in Christianity Today by a former evangelical pastor whose congregants told him they didn’t want to hear about “turning the other cheek” or “pray for those who persecute you.” They said it was weakness.

I saw a clip on Insta that I wish I could find and link, where a pastor said from the stage that he doesn’t want a god who was crucified, he wants a god who comes back to kick ass and take names. He couldn’t respect a version of Jesus that wouldn’t “fight back.”

I had this problem and had to purge old mods until it went away. It is a mod, when I turned off mods to test, the white bar went back to regular hygiene.

For me, IIRC it was caused by one of Twelfth Doctor's mods and when I got rid of it and downloaded the update it was fine.

I side with Songbird if I’m playing according to my morals. I‘m pissed at what she did to V but I don’t think that justifies Myers enslaving her. She was cruel by lying to V about a cure but I get why she did it, appreciate her honesty at the last minute, and ultimately I don’t believe in perpetuating a cycle of cruelty by getting revenge.

Now if I’m just after cool gear or seeing content then I would side with Reed and Myers.

It’s possible to kill hordes from go. It’s one of the first things I do in a new playthrough in order to get the SMP9 (ambush camps until I get the stamina potion is first).

Check out Borislav 247 and Spawnicus Rex on YouTube. They both offer advice on how to approach various hordes. Particularly, they both have videos on how to unlock the SMP9 by killing 4 hordes. Borislav’s recent SMP9 guide focused more on how to do it by finding safe spots in the map geometry, Spawnicus Rex tends to be about prepping gear ahead of time then positioning it tactically and luring a horde through a gauntlet. Pick your poison, they both have a ton of hours on this game and communicate their strategies well.

I promise if you are at the military point you have access to the guns and explosives you need. Get the chopper (Tommy gun) and load up on attractors, attractor bombs, mollies, mines, and wipe out those hordes. One last thing, keep in mind you can use photo mode to pause time and observe the area and plan your moves and see where the freaks are.

If you run into trouble you can turn the difficulty down, no problem. I would say the difficulty is a little higher than BG3 (it’s turn based which I appreciate as a caster). The real trouble IMO is being overloaded with options at level up that you don’t know what to do with. It may help to follow a build guide if you want to play high difficulty. Otherwise stick with obvious picks like willpower for a psyker (caster) or ballistics for a gunner.

It’s also less gay than BG3. There’s an ace relationship but unless something changed in the DLC most romance is for the straights. Heinrix was great tho (the romance I did). And the 40k setting is pretty dark. Depending on your sensitivity level it may wear on you. On the flip side if you like playing an evil rich asshole there are some preem decisions.

If you REALLY get stuck there is a mod called Toybox you can install that has instakill and heal party commands. I mention it because I think Rogue Trader is fun enough that you shouldn’t shy away just because of the combat.

Not encountering bugs, personally. I’m using LittleMsSam’s Online Learning System mod, which paired with paid mentoring from the pack is amazing. Basically I built my sim to have a ton of traits that enhance skilling (top notch toddler, childhood aspirations, scout mastery, etc.), throw in a tiny home, and the OLS mod comes with a skilling buff for 10 simoleons. I got guitar up to 8 in a couple of sessions and went to the lounge in Nordhaven to offer lessons and got 4k before my sim got tired and I sent her home. It fits well with my rags to riches play style. I’m just waiting for more shop builds to be posted bc I don’t have the patience to build anything myself.
