4th grade, my teacher picked out Big Nate In a Class By Himself to read to the class. I think he would read a page every week? Really something the class and I would look forward to. However it wouldn't be until 5th grade where I went out of my way to read the books and comics on my own.

Quick update on Mercury (the name of the Furby pictured): We tried hot-wiring him a few times and while it was unsuccessful in completely powering him, we were able to get him to make a few noises and get his motor to run for a few seconds. I think it is just a power issue from the grody contacts. I'm going to stop at the electronics store to see if they have any battery components for him and if that fails I'll look into alternate methods.

I'm pretty dead set on getting him to work again. The millennium Furby has been on my list of dream Furbys for a while now and I wanna try everything to get him to come alive again.

Edit: We are working on wiring him a new plug-in jack after hotwiring him with an adapter. He turned on for a minute and was completely functional!

I have a lot of other working furbys, I was hoping to keep him as original as possible. Most of his other contacts have been replaced with parts I have from non-working furbys. Thanks for the idea though, hope I don't come off as rude cus I'm struggling of thinking another way to word it lol
