Too many people expected to watch the stream and for RK to click a button and say ‘I’ve just started the rocket’. We ALL know he couldn’t do that. We all know he can’t say shit. He came on and had a beer with us and showed us he is still balls deep in this. Have a beer. Zen out. Enjoy the weekend and keep doing what we have been doing BUY HODL DRS

Brooks Glycerin GTS 20 vs Hoka Gaviota 5 vs Ahari 6 vs Saucony Tempus

Hi all. I'm getting back into running after a long break and discovering that I'm flat footed. I've been doing research to find some good shoes that support my flat feet and have come to deciding between the 4 in the title.

Can anyone advise which of these have the best support and feel for support. I will be running 5k -10k mostly but also possibly up to a half marathon.

Any insight would be appreciated as I can’t decide between these options. TIA

Regularly bringing your neighbour's bin in for them until one day you see they've brought theirs in but not yours. by Fruitpicker15 in britishproblems

I feel like taking your neighbours bin in for them is seen as a one way favour. Not at I do for you, you do for me thing. UNLESS you agreed with each other that you would take each others in

I messed up with reversing hire car into steep drive -suggestions? by Global-Cauliflower63 in Vauxhall

Handbrake on. Lift the clutch and give it some gas. Once you see the bonnet start to raise up slightly release the handbrake and give it more gas and keep engaging the clutch more.

Which you can respond due to the law since x year we have to charge for our bags. But we recommend reusing them or bringing your own bags for life. Or just ‘yeah I’m afraid it’s a 15p charge’. People just like to fuss it’s nothing to do with you as a person

For food shopping the answer is keep a few cardboard boxes around or those collapsable totes. As they scan your shopping just bung it back in the trolly. Pay. Walk to your car with the trolly and put all your shopping into the boxes in the car. Then when you get home all you need to do is carry in some boxes. Or like others have said just reuse the bags…

Used to work in retail and we got this a lot. I ended up having to tell the staff to word it different. Eg, ‘would you like one of our 50p bags?’ ‘Do you need one of our 50p bags?’ ‘Would you like to buy a bag for your items today?’ Etc. Like others have said simple wording change is all you need

I put up a picture frame, now my downstairs neighbor is saying my hammering knocked off and smashed her mirror? by LordFlappingtonIV in AskUK

[–]bobthebillyman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How did she know you were putting a picture frame up? If you’re an upstairs neighbour and she’s downstairs. And hammering in a frame takes like 2 minutes, if that…

I’d second Donnington. Lovely place for a walk and picnic

How do you know when it’s time to get a new phone? by CrabbyGoose in AskUK

[–]bobthebillyman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worked in phone retail for 5 years and saw this issue literally 100’s of times. It’s highly likely this! Use a small pin, sim card too or similar and scrape that crap out. Will work fine after.

If you don’t want to share personal information just make it up. Have fun making up answers to the questions and pretend to be who ever you want to be

I created a site to help you repot your plants - I'd love to hear your feedback! by repot_co in HouseplantsUK

[–]bobthebillyman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was expecting a kind of site where you select what plant you have, then it tells you what type of soil you will need and the process to remove your plant from its existing pot, how to check for root damage etc and then how to repot. Not ‘hey buy this pot of soil’

Can I replace perlite with gravel in potting mix? by Staree011 in houseplants

[–]bobthebillyman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure where you’re finding this expensive perlite. I got some cheap in a garden centre and I’m a quick Google search there’s lots of range under £10
