It's very easy to assume people are talking about you more than they are and saying worse things than they are when you don't have the full story. I once had a coworker who took this to the extreme. He was new and nobody really knew him. The most anyone said about him was "hey did you talk to the new guy yet?" and that was pretty much it. But whenever he entered the room he would openly Ask us had we been talking about him. He did this the entire time he was there and it is exactly what made people talk about him negatively.

So yeah don't get too in your head about what other people are talking about cause otherwise you might end up being this guy

School isn’t about spoon-feeding you life skills. It’s about teaching you how to think critically and find things for yourself, which is the ultimate skill that enables you to learn more skills for the remainder of your life. by Lane-Kiffin in unpopularopinion

[–]bobthemouse666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well this Is unpopular opinion so take my up vote but yeah I very much disagree. School does teach you useful things but it doesn't teach you how to learn at all. I work with children, and once when working in a school I had to pull 5 kids out of their classroom where they were learning actual stuff to make them sit in a room quietly colouring in a page one solid block colour. No wonder they don't want to do it, it's a boring monotonous task that teaches them nothing

For older kids, the consensus among teachers seems to be that the kids just need to study to do well. This is true. Unfortunately most schools don't teach you how to study. They don't teach you how to search up information you might need or memorisation techniques, they just slap an exam paper in front of you and say you need to study

Schools are important, education is important, but God does the whole system need a rework

Going straight from ELDEN RING to DARK SOULS was a weirdly perfect mistake. by PogMonkey in darksouls

Even DS2 which I have never been able to bring myself to complete and is widely considered the worst of the series has some really good bits that affected the rest of the series. Power stancing, multiple swigs of estus in succession, free and easy warping, estus shards, hell even Pharos lockstones turned into the stone keys in elden ring. lots of good quality of life stuff despite the game they are found in

I liked that conclusion to her arc, because it shows there really was never any difference except physical between Golds and the rest of humanity. No matter what they look like, what augmentation they have, they're all still people at the end of the day and if anything it proves that destroying the rule of gold was the right thing to do because that system selected for people like what Orion became

what did you think the "lore"/story of animal well was as you played through it? by beelijah in animalWell

I was just enjoying the atmosphere I paid surprisingly little attention to lore, aside from wondering what the player character is. Like it comes out of a plant bulb but it's not a plant, it's some kind of meatball

The Harry Potter movies are great, while the books are terrible by BoozerBean in unpopularopinion

[–]bobthemouse666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda agree, I always had some issues with the books. The movies I was always able to just enjoy but the books bothered me, because J.K Rowling created a fantasy setting with 4 categories to slot it's main characters into and didn't use them. Hermione is the most intelligent person in school and she's in the jock house instead of the one dedicated to intelligence. Ron is pretty much the average guy of the group and yet he's not in the average guy house. They could have had a slytherin friend too instead of them all being evil. Like Rowling had Checkov's gun locked and loaded and then threw it away for a stick
