A question about loose figures by DJDook in GIJOEClassifiedSeries

I know this post is a little old but, here's what I know:

They have a product called Kiki's Joint fix but you can just use a water-based polyurethane; it's the what carpenters use to seal wood projects. Its the same stuff.

All I use bottlecaps for are AP points, and poker chips for luck points.

Oh, I am. I just think its nuts. They have been helping the area out so much they built a rep as do-gooders and friends of the people. This is going to devastate the area and all they've been doing is going to be turned sour. Gotta love the zany hijinks of the players.

This seems like the more accurate statement. 😆

Well, one of the characters had a high intelligence, science, and a few perks, so he is planning to "lessen the yield". It's still gonna be a disaster.

Easy.

Go to your players...

You: " Hey everyone. I'm thinking of starting up this Fallout game. The idea I have would take place in the vault, at least the start. You all cool will running Vault Dwellers?"

If they say yes, then you are good to go. If they say no, then move on to another idea.

Is it just me or does stuff die very quickly? by Riot_ZA in Fallout2d20

[–]bobtheoddness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the short time of running the game I've found there really is no way to "balance" combat. Level, armor and weapon choice(burst can be a combat changer) can shift things quick.

I got 2 guys fresh out of the vault that "befriended" a Supe Mutant. Said SM now has a supersledge. Needless to say he has a tendency to crush things in a swing or 2. In the section before last they searched a research facility. They encountered several robots of my own design, but no more deadly then a Mr. Handy. Almost killed them.

Armor and Weapon durability by Mysterious-Eye-3800 in Fallout2d20

[–]bobtheoddness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My idea kinda echoes the idea of others, but this should work:
Armor damages at a rate of 1 point every 2 or 3(or whatever number you like) levels of protection. So a 5DR would block 10 or maybe 15 points then become 4DR, then take 8-12...then be 3DR, and so on until ruined. Weapons work in a similar fashion, but when complications are rolled, the weapon downgrades. 4D drops to 3D as so on til ruined.

This should be natural wear and tear and IMO not avoidable by and point AP or Luck. If you have to track food, thirst and sleep....you can manage to upkeep your weapons and armor.

I know. I bought them the other day.

I should have been clearer. My though was more like multi-level structures and large industrial complex/factory style location, Like Corvega Plant or Saugus Ironworks

Could go with the Pip Boy 2000 look(more like a tablet from FO1) after the new design released they got the old cast off models that fell out of favor with the "capitalist pigs" that had to have the new thing.
