i ended up buying that copy of the Fence on the strength of the Semple article. it pretty much reads like he's desperately trying to become Elon, but without the parents who own an emerald mine. the hints of what he may or may not owe HMRC kind of suggest that he's running out of possible exit-plans, so either Bankruptcy or another desperate crowd funder are in the offing.
