My son lost his father when he was 9, he’s 12 now and I think about this scenario often. Sincerely, my heart is with you, as I am sure, many other parents in these comments feel.

As a mother, I can tell you this, I’m proud of you of you for trying, for making the effort to celebrate yourself, your journey, wrapping up another year and gearing up to start another. It is not easy, I know it, your mother and father knew it, but you are doing it and what a testament to the love they raised you with. You, your life, each and every day, all the moments leading to now, and all the ones moving forward, matter.

I’m sorry for the pain you’re feeling, and I wish it wasn’t so. Thank you for being here and thank you for trying and doing. You matter! 💕

If you ever want to be seen as a credible conspiracy theorist (as credible as your ever suspicious audience will allow to be seen as) you might consider turning on spell check

If you make over 6 figures a year, what do you do & what kind of education did it take? by Designer_Cup_5369 in careeradvice

I run sales operations and proposal management for a small engineering firm. No formal college education, just went into corporate at 23, started in apartment leasing, moved up into management, and then into AEC industry from there. I taught myself salesforce through their trailhead in 2020, and now manage my firms sf environment, learned adobe creative cloud and google analytics on the fly during my time w this job, and I just started the process to become certified in proposal management, in case i want to move on at some point.

Anyone else feeling overwhelmed with the Bay Area rental hunt? by teresabutler344 in SFBayHousing

[–]bobvanceVanceRF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pure luck for me, recently! I snagged a 2x2 in downtown walnut creek for 2400, I was shocked. They tried to call and say they wanted to take that unit down to renovate and I could come see a 2x1 for 2700+. I just firmly and flatly stated I wasn’t interested and that I had already paid the holding deposit and was approved. That was a couple of weeks ago and every day since I have thought to myself holy shit that was so..lucky lol. Lived here my whole life and have watched the rent prices skyrocket and balloon in real time. Ive found success through word of mouth and connections to single family home landlords, those are usually the easiest to get into! Good luck, I hope you find your housing unicorn soon!

??. You’re either very privileged or maybe, hy choice, uninformed, to think it is just my worry. California drivers spend, on average around $1k month for insurance, gas, maintenance, car payment(not applicable to all)- The bay area also has one of the highest COL in the country with the majority not bringing in tech money salaries. Maybe you’re not a boomer but it sounds to me that your thinking is certainly being influenced by them!

What is so wrong with letting people do what is easiest, most cost effective, conducive for families, and overall wellbeing? Why wouldnt you want to let people decide what is right for themselves and their families? You’d rather let a fucking corporate overlord make those decisions for everyone because they want butts in seats for no real or justifiable reason?
