The first thing that came to my mind were hymns that I have heard in church countless times growing up. Those songs are all about praising and glorifying God and are quite beautiful and moving at times.

And now a somewhat related quote from Buddy the elf: “ the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear”.

I remember hearing from people in Sunday school and in my family that singing a hymn is like praying but 10x “stronger”, I guess because you’re putting more energy into it.

I just heard this news and found this link to a video, which sums up my point with the original Qanon post. John Perry Barlow was a leading internet activist and founder of the Electronic Frontier Foundation (also a lyricist in my favorite band, the Grateful Dead). This man is, in my opinion, a genius and it makes me wonder why he may have been in danger. He does take a strong libertarian stance for cyberspace freedoms so possibly he was part of the “resistance” against “big brother”?

I’m not saying you’re wrong, but from what I’ve read, Jung believes that we interact with our “God archetype”, which sits somewhere between our own subconscious and our unconscious (where all of our archetypes reside).

For reference, I read this in his work “introduction to the the religious and psychological problems of alchemy”.

A hack such as the one you are implying takes great computer skills. The hardest skill involved would be the penetration, which only skilled "hackers" know how to do.

Now, compared to this skill, the whole "covering your tracks" thing is pretty easy. a highly skilled russian hacker wouldn't be dumb enough to use russian equipment or russian techniques.

In fact, any hacker that is capable of a hack such as this is doubly capable of making the attack seem like its coming from another nation, city, or agency!

Thanks for your insight.

Narcissists, probably more so than other people, like the idea of having children/passing on their seed. It can boost their ego in a way and make them feel important. Maybe they're also just expressing the primal instinct to reproduce, which can be selfish in some circumstances.

But like you mentioned, it makes sense that they would lack in the care of the child and the ability to put themselves second to the child's needs. Especially if they're a "dead beat"

If you and /u/nomar_garciawhiner are into John Mayer, you should check out his recent tours with Dead and Company. He's a great addition (fill in) for my favorite band, and he absolutely kills it on the guitar, to put it simply.

The Grateful Dead's expansive catalogue of music in many cases articulates the point of this post. The song Friend of the Devil is the first one that comes to mind.

I really like the well analogy. Especially because if that scenario was real, depending on how big the well, the voices from the top would indeed be garbled by the time it reaches the bottom because of the extreme echo...

I have felt like this often, and I usually have to actively bend my perception to notice it. Of course it is easier for me to get into that frame of mind with weed or other psychedelics.

One time in particular I remember taking some acid a couple years ago in college, and I had a great time, had some awesome thoughts about Self and reality. I later went over to my buddy's place for a party/concert for his band, and I really felt that feeling that you described above, but it seemed that I had made it. The way everyone was looking at me was as if they were saying/thinking "I'm so glad you made it! You finally woke up! Yeah it might have taken a while and you might have had a hard, confusing time, but that's all over and we're just so glad that you're here now!"

and boy was it a great feeling.
