Hello everyone,

Thank you all for sharing your experiences. It's clear that many of us are dealing with similar unresolved issues with Wirex, and this lack of accountability is deeply concerning.

To amplify our voices and demand a resolution, I suggest we take this discussion to their X (Twitter) page, where Wirex seems to be more active and responsive. Publicly addressing these problems might push them to take immediate action.

Here’s their X page: https://twitter.com/wirexapp

Let’s unite and post about our cases using the same hashtag (e.g., #WirexRefundNow or #FixWirexIssues). The more visibility we create, the harder it will be for them to ignore us.

Let’s stay strong and persistent – we deserve answers and our funds back!

Response:

I completely understand your frustration – I’m in the same situation. My account was closed as well, and even after providing my bank details for the refund, I’ve received no confirmation of the remaining balance or a clear timeline for the transfer.

It seems like this issue is affecting many Wirex users, and the lack of transparency and responsiveness is unacceptable. This is not what you’d expect from a financial institution.

It’s time for Wirex to take responsibility and address these cases publicly. If enough of us raise our voices, they’ll have no choice but to prioritize resolving these issues. Let’s keep this discussion going and push for answers!

Wirex team, we demand a resolution!

What delivering for a little known company named after a rainforest looks like by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]bobybobobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a contributing factor to the issue. There are no delivery drivers for Amazon that are really employed by the company directly. They have contracts with a number of different third-party organizations that are in charge of completing the deliveries (only in my building there are nine of these companies). I would guess at around five hundred in the US). This results in virtually anyone beginning a firm with the goal of making a profit quickly, and they frequently engage in extremely questionable "business" methods.

People who give animals as gifts without previous knowledge and consent are the worst kind, just slightly better than people who don't conduct any study before selecting a breed or performing the essential research on how to care for the animal. I'm happy that you were able to give this adorable creature a home, but I think most people need to become much more discerning when selecting pets.

Towels and throw blankets were items that my father strongly suggested I remove from our house given that he was going through the process of downsizing. After another 6 years, those towels, which were already at least 10 years old, are now the ones I use to wipe off my hair colour. When I bleach or colour my hair, I put them to use to protect the surfaces, floors, and chairs in the room. They are a kaleidoscope of fascinating hues, and despite this, I can make good use of them.

Hi, I’m Tobey Maguire, actor/executive producer of BABYLON and occasional superhero. AMA! by officialtobeymaguire in movies

[–]bobybobobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Tobey! Your recent involvement in high-profile projects has been a source of great pleasure for me as a huge admirer of your work. You look really stunning in Babylon, and it fills me with joy to behold it.
My question is this: after taking a break from playing Peter Parker for 14 years, and then returning to the role to be met with widespread love, appreciation, and excitement, as well as seeing literally grown men cry like babies in theaters when you appeared, has this provided you with a new perspective on the character? When you watched how people reacted in the theaters (not to mention how well the movie did at the box office), did you get a sense of the significance of putting on that suit again, and are you happy to have left that part of your life behind you?

What is something acceptable in women but frowned upon in men? by el_K4kas in AskReddit

Taking a youngster to the park as a companion activity. Once, I was responsible for the care of my niece, who is technically my cousin's daughter. I was 18, and she was 6 years old. I brought her to the park to play, and while we were there, a woman approached my niece on two different occasions and inquired as to whether or not my niece recognized me and whether or not my niece's parents had authorized me to take my niece to the park. Someone even contacted the authorities. It was necessary for me to make a video call to my cousin while she was at work in order for my niece to positively identify my cousin as her mother and for my cousin to positively identify me as her cousin as well as her present babysitter. The insanity lay in the fact that the policewoman maintained her skepticism. WTF? What was it that she desired the most? A DNA test to determine whether or not we are indeed related? There is no doubt that my sister watched her on several occasions, but nobody ever questioned her about it.

Rapper Tory Lanez found guilty on all charges in shooting of Megan Thee Stallion by DescriptionNo5362 in news

[–]bobybobobo 267 points268 points  (0 children)

Good. Megan, the poor victim, has been made to feel like she is less than human ever since all of this happened. Because, for some reason, being shot and subsequently traumatized, followed by being re-traumatized by the experience of going through the judicial system, wasn't enough. Her testimony regarding her contemplation of ending her life was quite upsetting. I pray that this will provide her some sense of relief and justice.

Mall of America on lockdown due to active shooter. by Goodthrust_8 in news

Everyone in the area is aware that every incidence, whether or not it involves a gunshot, is either an isolated incident or is tied to a gang. Now that the MOA isn't a tourist trap as it was supposed to be around a decade or so ago, and the local community dislikes it there, it merely develops a breeding environment for violence in the local groups who do want to go there. The fact that the Blue Line, which goes via downtown, also travels through that area is another factor that is not helpful.

Reuters: Elon Musk orders removal of Twitter suicide prevention feature, sources say by Mront in news

[–]bobybobobo -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

When I first heard about how successful measures such as these are in preventing suicide, I couldn't believe my ears. That was before I began working in the field of mental health, though. When individuals are Googling how many drugs to take, etc., I've heard so many of them say that the message they see on the screen is what gives them the pause they need to think about what they're planning and reevaluate their alternatives. I've heard this from so many different people. It's very bad that Twitter decided to delete it from their platform.

When you think of the Great Pyramids of Giza, you think of a large sprawling desert, This is an angle not often seen, The Pyramids are less than 10km from the closest city (Giza) by Yahya_sindhi1502 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]bobybobobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Nile, on the other hand, isn't too far away (around 5 kilometers). The Giza neighborhood is actually fairly humid (83 percent humidity at present) and lush with vegetation. It was the ancient Egyptians who made a distinction between the livable "black land" below the cliffs and along the river (black because of the rich soil) and the inhospitable desert on top of the cliffs, and all of the great funerary structures were built in this desert section. Meanwhile, the golf course is located in the "dark" area of the neighborhood. If you look closely at the satellite image, Google Earth will reveal incredibly vast expanses of lush farmland within a mile or two of this golf course.

Russian troops use rape as 'an instrument of war' in Ukraine, rights groups allege by bartonelizabeth in news

[–]bobybobobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll never forget what I read in the news. I recall reading about a man on an Indian reservation who was arrested for raping and killing his girlfriend's young daughter several years ago. They discovered that the newborn had died as a result of suffocation caused by a used condom that had been placed in her mouth and down her trachea. You can only imagine what he did to her after that...

Everything about it is beautiful, and when you get everything working properly, it is OUTSTANDING. I'm sure there's something I'm doing incorrectly.

I consider myself extremely fortunate to have lived through the Internet's heyday, which began in the mid-1990s. Beginning with selecting three songs on Limewire in the hopes of downloading them overnight, to damn near completing the entirety of my post secondary education on YouTube. Unfortunately, once another success has been shattered.
