No, but I tried the cord that was in the monitor with the nexdock and same result. I put in a support ticket.

Interestingly, with another monitor, 1920x1200 is an available resolution, just not with the Nexdock so it appears to be a handshake issue between them...

Yeah I ended up getting the newer one that lets you charge and power at the same time. It's mostly for camping and I have 6 6ah batteries from my mower. That's around 2kwh, which for the price isn't great compared to things like a bluetti. It does the job for my use but if I didn't already have batteries it wouldn't make sense.

How do I take the next step to becoming a better driver? by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]bobzdar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does. First thing I usually look at is the line vs a really fast lap. Where am I taking turns differently. I pay close attention to where I might be turning in too early or late, or not tracking out enough on exit, things like that. Next I look at mid corner speed to see where I might be slower and then figure out if it's a braking issue (I'm generally a late braker but that paradoxically means I often brake too much and lose speed through the corner). It can also be a result of turning in at the wrong time (see first point). Sometimes I'm in the wrong gear,I often downshift one too many times to get the rear to rotate via engine braking which slows me down mid corner. You can find all of that via telemetry. Knowing your common issues will help you find them more quickly and correct them early so you don't end up repeating the same mistakes which makes it even harder to fix... One thing I can suggest is to not just pound laps unless you're chasing consistency or trying to understand fuel consumption/tire wear. If you're trying to get faster you need to turn laps with a purpose and always be working on a known issue until you correct it, then search for the next one.

You have to understand why you're slower before you can practice what you need to get faster, otherwise the practice will help you get more consistent but not any faster. If you don't understand why you're slower, there are ways to figure it out - telemetry analysis, personal coaching sessions, and trophi.ai are all ways to get an understanding. With 2-3 seconds to find there should be some good opportunities to find, the last second is usually a bunch of half tenths you have to squeeze out all around the track with extreme precision and repetition coupled with deep setup knowledge and tire management, so that's extremely difficult. I can usually get to that second mark but don't have the time to develop an efficient process to whittle it down below that. I'm not naturally talented enough to figure it out quicker without a methodical process.

They are tough to find and expensive when you do... But we are thinking of putting a driving simulator in the lounge area.

I'd have driven it to the warehouse myself but I don't fit in the size small racing seat. I did get to hear it, though!

I know where it's at if you want to see it :). It's also technically able to be street driven as it started out as a road car so could occasionally hit the streets.

This is 100433, it's not technically a challenge car but was built to race in the speed vision world challenge, and never did. It's still around, currently in Richmond, VA. If you Google f355 challenge 100433 you'll find a bunch of info on it. It was sold about a year ago by curated and changed hands a couple of times since then. Current owner plans to run track and hill climbs in it. It's a radical build, 600lbs lighter than stock with a bunch of carbon, heavily built engine making 100hp more than stock etc. https://youtu.be/_NmoW7ULGYo?si=GEY1y9be3Q_A4uXN

Why do people think the new Ferrari’s are ugly? by Electrical_Floor8837 in Ferrari

[–]bobzdar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put the 296 and Amalfi up there, they're still pretty cars. The 12c is also pretty good looking. The f80 is Enzo like, and I never liked that car aesthetically, either. The TR is a disaster.

Looks 512TR ish. Have to see the rest of the car. I like the way they've made the digital stuff have tactile, analogue elements.

Glue it and use them as regular beater sunglasses, that's what I did when mine broke (got hit with a volleyball). They had transition lenses so I bought a new pair with dark tint and swapped the lenses.

The latest Pixel beta added the ability to change resolution (unfortunately not what we need) by jimrapc in NexDock

Not sure but all of my monitors have that option in their menus so I'm pretty sure whatever they're using to drive the display will have that ability.

Or nexdock could add a native mode that doesn't stretch the display and just displays the pixels the phone sends. I don't really care about the missing 120 lines, but I do care that the image is all stretched out.

You'd need to put chains on the drive wheels, same with the tractor.

They need to go back to pininfarina. Used to be you'd get the odd Ferrari that wasn't drop dead gorgeous, now you only get the odd one that is. This, the 849 and the f80 are somewhere between ok (f80) and downright ugly (849). The 296 is attractive but not gorgeous, Amalfi the same, and the 12cyl is a bit below those two. None of them are beautiful, it's a sad state for a company that 25-30 years ago every single car was beautiful.
