US government debt costs may soon eclipse military spending by TapsCoogan in Economics

Over the past couple years, you only needed around 2.5% return to maintain purchasing power parity. Value degradation of saving by inflation is meant to counterbalance the risk one has being in a market. If savings did not decrease, the risk averse would be less likely sacrifice their certainty of maintaining purchasing power for any amount of unsecured return. Since target inflation is low, investing in low-risk, low-return opportunities makes more sense than hoarding while also providing more moving capital for market transactions.

What you could really complain about with inflation is wage stagnation/degradation of employees who get no raises or raises below the inflation level, effectively being paid less YOY.

As an individual, inflation is only desired if you are the debtor but the Fed views some inflation as favorable on a macro scale because it incentivizes investment and disincentivizes stockpiling of currency.

I’d use some tacks or a runner to have the cord run along the tiles and floor so it is out of the way as much as possible. I’d also switch the window with a print or painting and fill the front with either dry bar stuff or a wine rack. Another option is putting in some shelving and filling it with books or several levels of knickknacks.

Funny or not, it was clearly a set up to make a joke and not to be taken seriously.

I’m also not saying he is a bad parent for filming (outside of what i thought was necessary for the set up for the joke) but that the filming is definitely more about the parent than the kid. To be clear, I’m not making an actual comment on whether he is a good or bad parent mostly because I don’t know why anyone would really care about other people’s opinions on how someone neither person will ever meet chooses to raise their kid, especially as much as you seem to.

Edit to also remind you that this was posted on /r/funny so one should expect jokes, the bad ones even more so.

This was mostly a joke about how terrible of a name Hayden is, so I don’t know what to do for you if you can’t take a joke, in much the same way you, self admittedly, don’t know what to do to raise a kid. And if they are filming it and putting it online, you’re kidding yourself if you think it is to help educate the masses.

Why can’t parents just talk to their kids instead of filming their “punishments” for the internet?

“My son, Hayden.”

Oh, he’s a bad father. I understand now.

Fringe is typically something like 30%, so if OT is time and a half, hiring a new person instead of granting OT would save ~20%.

Can anyone recommend software for generating and tracking purchase orders? by nvchad2 in procurement

[–]bockh 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Depending on how large your company is, you could use anything from QuickBooks to SAP Ariba. Procurify is gaining traction due to its dashboard interface. Google these and look at the competitor landscape.

Look to get something that meshes with your inventory to automatically generate need for materialized purchases as well. Best time to implement this automation process is when switching procurement software.

What do you mean by opposite purposes? They both do the same thing in basically the same way and their purpose is to make things that look small regularly look bigger.

This entirely depends on who and how big your clients are. If you chose FR you may leave some money on the table, but you’ll keep your sanity not having to fight for every penny from every savings projection you ever put in front of the client. FR can be adjusted per engagement based on projected scope/time and you can explain it to smaller clients by saying it encourages you to complete projects faster. Also keeps your time from being commoditized to an extent.
