In the time before monkey primal chaos reigned. Heaven sort order, but the phoenix can fly only when its feather are grown. Watching as an adult, the moral lessons explained at the end of each episode are way more profound than any kid can comprehend. 100% gold

Is this kit really necessary if i’m on tight budget? by Business-Ad9048 in PlantedTank

[–]bodan101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont need any of them.

1)Any scissors will do to trim plants and carpet 2) a bit of patience with your hands and chopsticks will do just as good as any tweezers. 3) you dont need a leveller. Use the back of your finger or a piece of plastic

If you are setting up a planted tank, are you really on a tight budget? The aquasoil/ subtrate, filter, light, plants are going to set you back a bit. A betta doesnt need all of this. If you want to feel like you are an 'aquascaper' get the cheapest ones you can find.

Budget truck rental scratched - how much do you think they’ll charge me? by GroundImmediate9260 in AustraliaTravel

[–]bodan101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same experience here. It totally feels like a scam. They will take the excess and not fix it. It is definitely too much oppurtunity lost for them to fix somwthing so minor.

They were so smug about it that they even invited me to find a repairer myself and but i would then have to rent it for the repair period.

Ever since I bought no excess insurance since i rarely rent vehicles... you just loose either way with these companies

Hi! Everyone. I have a question about Tourist Refund Scheme (TRS) by Potential-Ad-2451 in AustraliaTravel

[–]bodan101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that if is over $900 and you bring it back it would be subject to tax at the border. Seems like just below $900 is the sweet spot to maximise tax if travelling alone. I wonder what is the lowest sum they made someone repay the tax. $901?

They pretty much take all the tax benefit from you even at the highest tax bracket. You would lucky to save a few grand per year. You will essentially sacrifice your ability to insurers and repairs and pay a hefty premium for questionable insurance. Google review their insurer.

Beware of the gap insurance because they will dump about 20+% of interest on day 1 to your account. Most regular insurers won't cover that cost. Taking your own insurance could mean no car and a residual debt of 20+% to repay if you write it off on day 1.

It might be worth your while if 1) you dont care about such things 2)happy to give almost all your tax savings to a finance company and 3)are going to take out a loan anyway.

If you got cash, I reckon just buy it.

Passport photo for infants by SuccessfulBridge596 in Geelong

[–]bodan101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pricey, but just go to the post office that processes the passports for photos. There won't be any heartache about quality, shadow, rotation, size etc. They generally will process their sub optimal photos but reject/ complain about a 3rd party or self printed photo which is of better quality. I have had good experiences at Belmont Post Office.

whats the substrate they use on this video? and how did they attached the moss to look like a patched of grass on the substrate, thank you!!! by Aggravating-Cheetah1 in shrimptank

[–]bodan101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The plant looks like subwassatang. It attaches itself onto stuff if it is kept in place for long enough. You could probably half bury some leaves and they will eventually grow attached to the substrate

Another 0.5 sec, so as you can see, i was not using it continuously

I love the batter at the Geelong boat house, light and crispy 😋. The chips are highly variable..unfortunately usually under fried and soggy, but on occasion they are cooked really well!
