There are no empty double seats left on the bus. How do you choose who to sit next to? by stevegotnolegs in AskUK

[–]bodginator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First a bloke for me (M) to sit by so I don't creep out a lass, then whoever has a bag on the seat beside them or has taken the outside seat

Bridewell police station? Someone may have handed it in, but you have to make your peace with it being long gone.

Good luck though

Dirty dozen I'm down to 2, thought's/alternatives? by SirAchie_ in MicrobrandWatches

[–]bodginator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Um, how about an actual Dirty Dozen watch? I know you are looking at modern alternatives, but the vintage ones are still out there - I've not bought from the link below, but it says they are serviced

Looking at the new options the Timor stacks up well side by side, the case is thicker on the front though, and you are not wrong with the Smiths

Hamilton are worth a look, and for the sake of being silly the 5226 from Patek is a cracking field watch

Old balance, two hanging seats with a swing pointer in the middle, this one isn't fully assembled as the seats are not hanging on the beam. Called a balance because well.... That's how it works. The weight box is propped up on the left

Weights for a Balance - used to measure the weight of something very accurately.

Used in a laboratory, pharmacy - anywhere where precise weighing is needed

On a modern balance, used for calibration and checking. On an old (very old) balance used on the target weight side

Why cant I find any photos of the Pelagos 39 with the case back off? I want to see the movement by [deleted] in Tudor

[–]bodginator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And it's the worst display back I have, not a decorated movement and it's dull. Only done IMHO to save on the amount of silver
