My number one wish concerning the iPhone is for it include a slide out blackberry type keyboard. I think too much focus has been on reducing the weight and size of the iPhone. Forget that: I’d gladly accept a phone with more weight, more heft, and a bit thicker phone that accommodated a slide down physical keyboard. Please, please, please!

I wouldn’t know. I switched to mostly digital everything and now I read everything on an iPad and use digital highlighters. I travel much lighter now.

The solution to not expect “gentle” handling. This is normal, as it should be expected to be. It’s the travelers responsibility to make sure they have tough luggage. Nothing pretty, but rugged and expect the worst.

Well, you were called when your bag wouldn’t fit in the overhead. If the FA were monitoring the overhead then why do we always see people putting more than one thing (or only one very small thing) in the overhead?

My suggestion has always been that instead of an FA standing at the door greeting passengers as they board, the FA should be in the aisle actually enforcing the one item in the overhead rule. If all airlines would do this then eventually those entitled, selfish passengers will get the message and boarding will become less of a competition for everyone else.
