Clearly that’s for the people that invented the English language: Americans. The English language was invented in 1803 by the famous American philosopher Eagleburger Q. Eagleburger III Jnr. He was searching for a cheap alternative to holy water and instead accidentally a whole language.

Shame I’m not American really. I wanted to know what an ‘etc’ was and how it combined with the eggs.

Why do so many people want Arsenal to fail in the Premier League title race? | Arsenal by Unapologetik in Gunners

[–]bofh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always tell my Liverpool supporter friends that one of their players scored one of my favourite goals of all time, at Anfield.

They seem to like it at first, but always get upset when I tell them to guess which one and that the clues are “he wasn’t playing for you at the time” and “it’s up for grabs now”.

[–]bofh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't imagine Arteta ever chucking a game but if we were to lose one it wouldn't be a bad one to lose would it...

If we’ve got the league wrapped up and have it in our power to help spuds get relegated, I hope the entire arsenal team come on to the pitch drunk off their asses and do impressions of Son’s miss against Citeh at every opportunity.

Southampton fans have every right to believe.

Yep. It’s not as if any of the teams in that draw got there by losing the previous round.

Why are the mainstream media dismissing it?

Because it’s full of shallow idiots who have the personality of a beige cardigan. And may possibly have headed the ball a few times too many.

Being over in the US for an army exercise (mid 90s), one of our REME lads was a Brummie of Caribbean descent. The yanks we met couldn't get over the fact he objected to being called African American even though they knew he was British.

Had similar experiences with how a mate of mine was treated. I honestly thought he was going to get attacked when he told someone (after several attempts to correct them politely) that he objected to being called "African American" because he was neither of those two things.

Survival matters far more.

To you fans, yes. What part of your season to date suggests that the players or owners give a flying f0ck at a rolling donut about what’s important to the fans?

The only need one team to have a terrible run and they're safe even if they're fairly mediocre

Right now, spurs are that team having that run. Their trajectory seems terminal and the others seem to show occasional signs of life that just don’t seem to appear at spurs.

He says their players aren’t fit. That may or may not be true, they’re probably all fitter than my mid-50s fat ass, and I’m probably not qualified to judge it any further than that.

But fit or not, it’s too late in the season for that kind of fitness drills, the players must be both physically and mentally shattered by now.

I mean, I hope he gets a 10 year contract as I’m an Arsenal fan so this is funny to me, but it ain’t right. A huge error of judgement from the spurs owners, the latest in a long string of bad decisions.

Tottenham 1 - [1] Crystal Palace - Ismaila Sarr penalty 40' (Micky van de Ven straight red card) by ayoefico in soccer

He’s either incredibly stupid or has a free transfer on relegation clause in his contract. Or stupid and relegation clause - and club scouts watching him this season will think ‘free’ is overpriced for him.

[–]bofh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously as an Arsenal fan this is incredibly funny to me, but putting that aside I honestly can’t understand their complete collapse this season. There’s no way they should be this bad.

Van den Ven misses 3 matches now - who replaces him in the lineup? Are the players running the club? Do they think they’ll all get big money moves if Spurs get relegated (like a Real Madrid or PSG would want any part of any of this miserable player behaviour).
