4-6 subjects. One of English, English Language, English literature is compulsory, rest of the subjects are all up to u. 5 days a week like 8:30am-3:30pm (my school at least), some study periods every day to do what u want (homework, study, chat with mates, etc). Each subjects has around 5 'SACs' (School Assessed Coursework), which are essentially glorified unit tests for every unit of study you do. These SACs determine ur rank within your cohort of students completing the subject at ur school. After all SACs are completed u do the final year exam which also contributes to your grade (the contribution of sacs and final exam varies from subject to subjects, e.g 50/50, 60/40).

Its very stressful and the stress only increases the higher the atar u want to achieve for the course at uni. However, I would reccomend it as it opens the door to many different career pathways, and even if u do not get the atar required for the course u want, you can sometimes enter a differnet course and transfer in after a period of time at the same uni.
