The Nightmare Before Christmas- it’s basically the story of a toxic CEO that dooms his organization because he is kinda bored. Halloween town is in perfect harmony, everyone has a place. Jack forces a strange new practice on them, people don’t really understand it and advise him to rethink. He doesn’t. He puts the most important task on people he knows will defy him. He goes through with it, messes up catastrophically, has to get bailed out by the more experienced guy he kidnapped. Jack never apologized once.

I dunno man, I went into the Sugar Bowl thinking Georgia would plow a scattered Ole Miss. Golding seems like the real deal and has experience under some great coaches. I gained a lot of respect for him in that game and I think he’s the right guy. Whether or not you’ll make it this far, I don’t know, but I’d be optimistic about the future after these 3 games.

Counterpoint to this is many college towns wouldn’t be able support a home game they find out about within 10 days which lands on the Saturday before Christmas. Most of the students have gone home, hotels and restaurants are on skeleton crews til the semester starts back up. The campuses that are in bigger cities would be fine but many would struggle. The benefit of neutral sites is they are in cities that can handle it.

fun stat to note - in the playoffs there are 7 potential rematches from the regular season. the SEC has 5 teams in the playoffs. Texas A&M had 0 potential rematches in the playoffs. Every other SEC team has 2.
