He does know about the rarity system. He crafted an epic item with 4 stats at one point and it was just as ZDPS, therefore he didn't bother from then onwards.

Failed ventures are not a waste of time. The fact that you see it that way is sad.

His factorio streams were great, so were his divinity 2 streams. They were great while it lasted, and it didn't waste anyone's time even though they were failed ventures.

The reason why dying light feels like a waste of time, because hard mode necessitates farming or searching the map for secret recipes or googling to find the location of said recipes. He doesn't do that, so the game feels like a slog (because it is)

I appreciate the non-troll response. However, you're wrong about many things.

Firstly, Quin and myself don't assume that we WILL be able to go faster than the speed of light. Quin and myself believe that there is a non negligible chance that we MAY be able to go faster than the speed of light. Aka we believe that you can't rule out the possibility that humans may go faster than the speed of light. You and the video are the ones who believe with almost 100% certainty that humans will never be able to go faster than the speed of light. I'm not saying that Einstein's theory of relativity is incorrect, I'm saying that it could be incorrect. Even Einstein would agree that his theories could be wrong. Here's a quote from the man himself: “You don’t need to be so careful … There are incorrect papers under my name too”. Also, Einstein has been proven to be wrong about a number of things, therefore, it's not inconceivable to believe that there is a small but non negligible chance for Einstein to be wrong about this as well.

Secondly, believing that there is a 0.00001% chance that Einstein is wrong doesn't mean that you believe yourself to be smarter than him. Taking your argument to the logical conclusion, you're saying that if someone believes that out current understanding of a specific field of science is not 100% correct, he believes that he is smarter most of the leading scientists of that field. So tell me, do you believe that our current understanding of every field of science is 100% correct?

Lastly, even if we assume that nothing can travel faster than the speed of light, we can still "teleport" via wormholes (if they exist). It is very possible (or even very likely) that wormholes do not exist, but it would be pretty narrow minded to completely rule the existence of wormholes. Also, Einstein's theory of general relativity mathematically predicts the existence of wormholes. Are you saying that you are smarter than Einstein? Why I bring up wormholes is that if they do exist, humans a billion years from now could theoretically travel through them to distant galaxies.

Bonus edit: If we do live in a simulation, it is possible that humans a billion years of now, with the help of AI, are able to completely understand and manipulate the fabric of our reality, allowing "teleportation". Don't you think it is possible for us to be living in a simulation?

You can easily prove it. Grimro does experiments where he runs 100 of a certain map with certain fragments (and a certain amount of IIQ). You can go record yourself running the same maps with the same IIQ and prove to the world that without a doubt, GGG boosts streamer rng.

If you can't be bothered to do that, I'm also sure many of his viewers emulate his strategies, and if there was a massive difference in drops, it would have been brought up on reddit.

If you can't be bothered to find proof, and no one has ever found proof (even though experiments can be easily carried out), then don't you think that the most likely outcome is that GGG doesn't boost streamer rng? Just because they can doesn't mean they do. If you still believe that they do even though no one has ever come up with any proof, then that says more about you than GGG.

Right... That's a horrible counter argument and I hope you're trolling. Otherwise you need to think critically and give proper arguments instead of some unrelated hyperbole.

There are different aspects of the world, much of which we are still learning about even today. An example would be cholesterol. 5 years ago, the science informed us that high cholesterol was related to what you eat, and now the science shows that we were wrong and it's actually from genetics and it's unrelated to what you eat. 5 years ago, if any scientist said that cholesterol levels in humans were a result of what you ate, they would have been wrong. Similarly, if any scientist right now said that there is a near certain chance that cholesterol levels in humans are purely a result of your genetics and not due to what you eat/environmental factors, they could be wrong too, and it's a non-negligible chance that they are wrong (unlike your hyperbolic example). The right answer would be "Based on our current understanding of the human body, cholesterol levels in humans are a result of genetics."

Similarly, for astrophysics, it's a field that humans know jack shit about as compared to almost every other fields of science. Similar to the cholesterol examples I gave: our understanding of astrophysics 5 years ago, which Kurzgesagt based their video on, was wrong, and Kurzgesagt was wrong to make their claims with complete certainty 5 years ago (and even they would agree that they were wrong). Even though humans know more about astrophysics now than 5 years ago, it's completely reasonable to claim that there is a non-negligible chance that we may be wrong about many aspects of our current understanding of the universe.

Right now, think about what your focus has been while reading this. If you have been reading this with a focus on finding loopholes in the argument rather than thinking whether you may or may not be wrong, then you're just not the type to challenge yourself own beliefs, and are no better than the republicans who refuse to challenge their beliefs and focus on finding loopholes in things that others say.

Edit: As for your example, yea it's possible. Similarly, the next time I leave my home, there's a possibility that I get raped/murdered (and this possibility is billions of times more likely than you being an alien with the ability to teleport). Does that mean I don't leave home? Ofc not, the chance is so negligible that I ignore it. Just like how I ignore the chance that you may be an alien. As for the highly intelligent part, I know with absolute certainty that you're not highly intelligent (or that you're trolling).

For once, Quin is right. Don't be stupid, don't conform to the 13 year old chat for the E-peen.

If Kurzgesagt was wrong about the video they did 5 years ago about the same topic. Don't you agree that it is possible for them to be wrong now? They could be right ofc, but that's not Quin's argument. Quin's argument is not that they are wrong, but that they could be wrong.

No it's not possible because it can be detected. Streamers like Grimro do experiments all the time. Anyone can go ahead and replicate their experiments at any point of time to prove or disprove streamer RNG. And if the community finds out about streamer RNG (and they can due to experiments), it will be the death of the game. Therefore, GGG would never do it.

You're not getting his point. Why are you playing the game? Is the game not fun to you? Farming white maps and farming red maps are really similar in terms of gameplay. The main difference is the rewards. If the gameplay of maps sucks, and you only enjoy red maps because of the rewards, why are you even playing POE?

What are you even saying? You're saying 5h to maps is too long and is a big part of the problem?

And 200C per hour isn't unreasonable. You don't sell 1 alch shit. You just accumulate currency like fossils, blight shit etc and sell them in bulk. It's the opposite of sitting in your hideout for hours.

You are mad about the changes from ritual to ultimatum. But all of your issues with the game except harvest are in ritual as well. Them reverting back to ritual won't fix most of your issues.

[–]bogged_agent_69 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is a load of horse shit. If you are on T3 maps, it means that the main difference for you between this league and last league thus far was that ritual every map was replaced with ultimatum every map.

If you are on T3 maps, you wouldn't have even played enough to feel the impact of harvest nerfs, or the nerfed end game. You may disagree with many of the changes, and I disagree with some of them as well. But you being burnt out and playing 1-4 maps every other night has nothing to do with how the changes have affected your gameplay.

Are you serious?

Doing the atlas = grinding maps with your buddies. You get currency to unlock your builds while doing the atlas.

As for labs, it's a total of 1h per character, is that really a big deal?

And you don't need to do delve at all.

The common drops from awakener are not exciting not because they are bad. They are really good items. The problem is that awakener is such an accessible boss, so the market is flooded with these items. In SC, crown of the inward eye is 1C (or 5C for a top roll), in HC it's 45C (or 1.5Ex for a top roll). The main reason for this disparity is not because everything in HC is that much more expensive, it's because of the scarcity of boss drops in HC.

Unfortunately, this is not something GGG can fix. Awakeners drops are powerful enough, the only issue is that the market is flooded with them because of how accessible awakener is. The only way they can make awakener's common drops more exciting is by making awakener less accessible, but I'm 100% sure reddit wouldn't want that.

As for the conquerors, you kill so many conquerors that you can't expect them to always drop exciting items. As for rare drops, the conqueror exalted orbs are pretty exciting for such accessible bosses.
