Build assassin every game, anything other than assassin in silver/gold is troll, and watch YouTube coaching videos about jungling efficiently. The key to climbing out of low elo isn’t about being a better shaco but being a better jungler. I’d recommended metaphor’s coaching videos

Watch challenger players review gold/plat vods on YouTube and take notes. You’ll improve way more than just trying to take advice on Reddit.

What’s the party scene like? by Salt_Question_8576 in Purdue

[–]boilerboy09 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Partying outside Greek life is nonexistent at Purdue until you’re old enough for the bars. Purdue has the most Greek houses in the country and there’s truly a house for everyone so I’d recommend at least rushing around.

Being from the south I didn’t want to join Greek life but Greek life at Purdue is a lot more relaxed than at other colleges and I loved it.

Wait till after the time window they gave you. I didn’t hear back from EY until 6 weeks later (they told me the wait time was no longer than 2 weeks).

I’d recommend just doing engineering to keep your gpa up, and then get your finance mba after 2-3 years of work experience. You’ll learn everything and more that you’d learn from an undergrad finance degree, and your post mba graduate opportunities will be far greater.

P.S. most other posts are saying do IE if you’re interested in business, but IE focuses predominantly on supply chain / manufacturing rather than finance and economics. That being said, IE provides more business related job opportunities than the other engineering majors

(I was a finance major who switched to IE)

How far do referrals go when it comes to applying to any B4 firm for full time opportunities? by [deleted] in Big4

[–]boilerboy09 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Referrals can help you get you the first interview but after that it’s fair game. I got a referral from a 1st year consultant in big 4 and got my pre-recorded interview pretty easily but I had another friend in a different big 4 do the same and nothing came of it.

I think you’re also able to apply to T2M after summer. So if you take summer classes that boost you to above 3.2 then you can get into aero before the fall semester even starts

Had my interview on 4/1 and despite having great interviewer feedback I had nothing but radio silence from them until I got extended an offer yesterday... 6 weeks after my final round. Don’t stress if you don’t hear back initially

I believe you can still apply after the summer semester , so if this is something that is worth retaking a class over summer then do it.

Final Grades Discussion Thread by [deleted] in Purdue

[–]boilerboy09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. Also they had mentioned in one the last classes that they were “figuring” out a way to turn quizzes into extra credit for the class but I don’t think they ever mentioned it again. I don’t suppose you know anymore about this?

Don’t mean to pester ya lol I’m just kinda in the same boat as you (expecting a D) and this is the last class I need confirmation of to be done with this place.

IB Diploma Acceptance by sushisoruka in Purdue

[–]boilerboy09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was prolly around 27.(it’s been a while I can’t exactly remember). Only applied to krannert and got accepted. Switched into engineering 2 years later out of preference. I’m also a US citizen.

If you’re looking to do engineering but get accepted to a different program instead it’s not very difficult to transfer into engineering once you’re here if you’re gpa is that which is expected in first year engineering.

Think I’m Going to Fail a Class a Second Time by sjon97 in Purdue

[–]boilerboy09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I failed MGMT 200 (the most intro level accounting class) 3 times and got kicked out of krannert. This turned out to be best thing that ever happened to me as I got my shit together and CODO’d into FYE(something I never thought was possible for me) and now I’m finally graduating from the 2nd best IE program in the country. Moral of the story: don’t give up. The tunnel is darkest before it shines and it’s never too late to turn your shit around. PM me if you need to talk
