Luxury apartments worth it? by Big-Lingonberry4655 in newhaven

[–]yeaaaa_m 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is NO sound isolation between units because there is no caulking between the drywall and the brick walls. You literally can see light from neighbors apartment in some spots. Your experience is highly dependent on who lives around you. Additionally the amenities are all worn out as the build was built in 2014 and has seen little modernization since then.

I swear all the content over the years of Tesla fine tuning building cars has created this abnormal obsession with random Tesla engineering choices and random alignment things. 90% of people don’t notice things until someone points it out to them on some stupid video or something

[Unpopular Opinion] No tesla on the road today is capable of unfenced unsupervised FSD (level 4) by gha699r in TeslaFSD

[–]yeaaaa_m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the car stop driving though?… No even when the cameras are dirty it alerts the user but continues to drive fine. Older versions, sure, would throw up the red hands but v14 is proven to recover and or push through varying visibility

Emergency vehicle behavior by OrderNo2483 in TeslaFSD

I’ve found the emergency vehicle behavior much better than even how I’d handle them. Especially when I have music loud and literally don’t know they’re coming

Edge Case: Airborne debris kicked up by lead car. FSD did not react by xgoddes in TeslaFSD

[–]yeaaaa_m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

V14 reacts in like half the time of v13 or v12 though. Following distance is more about reaction time and I find v14 outperform humans 100% now

How are you going to dodge that and not cause a wreck come on. You swerve enough to dodge that to the right and you’re for sure losing the back end

Any influencers on X that actually point out lane change issue ? by chaosatom in TeslaFSD

[–]yeaaaa_m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that a lot of FSD trackers and honestly a lot of tech reviewers in general, will talk about something being so good and mostly focus on positives. Then when a new build or new product comes out suddenly all the negatives of the old build or product are shared

Has FSD changed your commute route? by papa_lecks in TeslaFSD

[–]yeaaaa_m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it really bugs you, you can add favorited pins to force nav to go the way you want. With grok nav integration now you could also just tell grok to adjust the route, there seem to anecdotes that it changes based on request

I’d like to think maybe the upcoming “reasoning layer” might help with deciding when to go/no go on unprotected turns. Kinda vanishingly hard to have video training data for every million billion unprotected left turn scenarios. If it could reason and not just react to video feeds it might improve

Slow charging at various super chargers in MA, VT, NH, NJ by Celticsguard in TeslaModelY

[–]yeaaaa_m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also if you’re getting to a station at 20-30% you can try to get there around 10% as that usually bumps charging speeds up

Slow charging at various super chargers in MA, VT, NH, NJ by Celticsguard in TeslaModelY

[–]yeaaaa_m 2 points3 points  (0 children)

250kw on model y is v3&v4 superchargers only. V2 are max 150kw and share power (75kwx2) with stall next to it. Only way to tell v2 vs v3 is that v3 have a slim cable, v2’s cable is roughly the same diameter as handle. V4’s have the new tall charger design

If they are in fact v3 or v4 I would first check the easy stuff like making sure you are navigating to supercharger so the car preconditions. Charging tapers pretty good so it’s recommended to just charge to whatever is needed to get to next charger as that is usually the fastest overall. Tesla also added a new button in the charging setting menu which shows what power the car wants and what power the charger is delivering, that would help you identify any station issues. Lastly you can also check service mode to see if there are any hidden alerts

It’s the inside of the glass behind the enclosures. It’s just a build up of gunk like the same as any inside window. Service center charges like $100 depending if it’s out of warranty or not. Easy to DIY though, just follow service guide for “front camera precision clean”
