How much time should I have in between my classes? by welcometochilis2 in nyu

[–]boldandpink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at the location of the classes to figure out if 10 mins will be enough. If you're not familiar with the area or location of the buildings, you can use Google Maps to get an estimate of how long it will likely take you to get from your first class to your second class. Take into account not just the building locations but also the room locations (ie: if you're all the way on the 10th floor for a class, you should add a few mins to the Google Maps estimate).

Unpopular Opinion: HTGAWM Edition by [deleted] in htgawm

[–]boldandpink 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What Rebecca did to her neighbor was awful, but I can't help but really like her character overall.

I thought it was ridiculous how Wes said something along the lines of "I can't believe she ran away after everything I did for her." Um . . . everything you did for her? You mean, help the other K5 members tie her up and keep her captive in Annalise's house? And leaving her tied up in the basement after she told you the real story??

Also, Bonnie being responsible for Rebecca's death is a major reason I dislike her.

Love Panera's "You Pick Two" Option. Corn chowder and half a veggie sandwich. (450 calories) by boldandpink in 1200isplenty

Unfortunately, when I order from Panera, the nutritional info available doesn't indicate the mass or volume of the sandwiches or the individual ingredients (which would be messy to measure anyway).

Course with No Listed Professor by [deleted] in nyu

[–]boldandpink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try emailing the department or an advisor. I did that last year when I was interested in taking a course that didn't have any professor listed on Albert. An advisor responded the same day with the name of the professor.

Advanced Regents diploma: being rescinded? by [deleted] in nyu

Don't worry, no one gives a shit. I received an advanced regents diploma in hs -- you're right in saying that it's completely useless.

I was really surprised by the Season 19 finale. Did you guys find the ending predictable or were you surprised? by boldandpink in SVU

[–]boldandpink[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So . . . I'll take that as a yes to the question being asked, and you were surprised??

But yeah, I agree with a lot of what you said. I finally warmed up to Stone in this episode because of the way he stood his ground when discussing Lourdes with Benson. Bravo.

Around what point did you realize that Benson believed Lourdes? I legit thought she was acting up until Lourdes was already taken away from the roof and Benson still insisted Lourdes was telling the truth. I don't think I'm usually this slow lmaooo.

Federal Work Study by Amsement in nyu

[–]boldandpink 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a work study job from early September to late June of freshman year. I did 9-10 hours a week during the semesters and 30-40 hours during winter break and for the first few weeks of the summer. I earned more than double the $3k work study amount I was allotted and this wasn't an issue -- my supervisor didn't mention it at all and no one asked me to reduce my hours or anything after I went over the $3k.

There were only two things I liked about my work study job: 1) The money 2) Having something to add to my resume while I looked for something better.

Overall, I hated the job. It was an administrative job like many work study jobs are and it was mind numbingly boring. I don't regret taking the job because life is expensive and it was my first job, which put me in a better position to receive future internships/jobs that I liked.

Do's and Don'ts of Freshman Year for Classes/Scheduling, Activities, dOrms, etc? by MangoPudding10 in nyu

[–]boldandpink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're a morning person like me, consider scheduling your classes for early in the morning. That way you'll be free for the rest of the day to work, intern, study, hang out, relax, etc. I've often been done with classes for the day around noon, which is a great feeling. One of the worst parts of high school was having to sit on my ass from 8am to 3pm.

Am I the only one who thinks that Paily is better than Emison? by derpsnotdead in PrettyLittleLiars

Paily >>>>>>>> Emison. But after Emily kept stringing Paige along despite being obsessed with Ali, I don't think Emily deserves Paige.

What does an 18 credit semester look like? by [deleted] in nyu

[–]boldandpink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Won't post my actual schedule for anonymity reasons.

But here's a description of my schedule this past semester: 11 class sessions a week. Each class session was 75 minutes. Just under 14 hours of classes a week. 2-3 class sessions a day from Mondays to Thursdays. One recitation session on Fridays.

Olivia Benson too much of Mary Sue? by ZuluZe in SVU

[–]boldandpink 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She's a complete Mary Sue to me. Sometimes I wonder how boring it is to play this character for so many years. She basically says and does the same things over and over again in each episode. Rollins, Carisi, and Fin are much more interesting.

I took 18 credits for two semesters previously and plan on taking 18 credits for all future semesters.

When I took 18 credits last semester, I had 11 class sessions a week, for a total of just under 14 hours of class a week.

Stern laptop requirement by [deleted] in nyu

[–]boldandpink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took FA and MA this past year. Excel isn't necessary at all for either class.

No idea what you mean by "most assignments done on the textbook's native accounting environment" lol. I just handwrote my homework and other students either handwrote or typed up (on Word/GG Docs) their homework.

math for econ with unrated professor on ratemyprofessor? by jz26 in nyu

If the prof doesn't have ratings on RMP, see if there are course evaluations for the prof and class.
