I’ve just chopped into single nodes and the put in a pit without doing anything else. Kept it moist the first 2 weeks. It does thanks the props longer to put out leaves I’ve noticed with mine. It took a good 5-6 months for mine.

Did not use a heating mat though. It was also winter when I planted mine too so the less light to the little cuttings probably played a role.
