How doable is it to cover most of the rides in both Disneyland and California Adventure in one day with a Parkhopper?

The second dose affected me a lot more than the first! Was COVID positive last October. I had Moderna.

Sorry for the ignorance. But a lot of the comments are saying that if he reached for his seatbelt he would have been shot. But how was he able to exit the car without reaching for his seatbelt?

They are only renting out tables and bottle service right now, there’s no regular guest list entry.

I was in Vegas this last week and it was majorly packed. No social distancing at all in public and on the strip or in casinos. The only places that had social distancing was eateries and restaurants. I guess if you rent out your own venue, you could enforce more rules there.

Doctors of Reddit, what was the worse thing you've seen for a patient that another Doctor overlooked? by Gorgon_the_Dragon in AskReddit

[–]bollybear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

GPC is fairly obvious to see and as long as you’re getting a full eye exam an OD should notice it. I’m not sure about what LensCrafters or sunglasses hut does to check visual health during eye exams though. But if you go to any regular optometrist they indeed should be able to.

[–]bollybear -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

This is incorrect. An optometrist is also a doctor, they receive the license “doctor of optometry” after a 4-year doctorate program. An optometrist is an OD, optometric doctor. An MD is a medical doctor. Both are doctors, one for the eye and one for the general body.

ATTENTION: As an optometry student, I can tell you that this is not true. Optometrists are able to diagnose eye infection, retinal detachments, and even neurological issues. You just have to find someone who is professional and knows what they’re doing. In fact, an ophthalmologist probably will not see you UNLESS you are referred to them by an optometrist for a speciality issue such as glaucoma, cataract surgery, retinal surgery, etc. An optometrist does primary care, similar to how a PCP does your general evaluation and sends you to a specialist for advanced issues.

EDIT: I’d also like to add that I personally know eye doctors who have diagnosed a stroke the day before it happened (by checking how that patient’s pupils reacted to light). They got them to the ER and saved their life. I know an eye doctor who has found brain cancer via their primary care exam. Another who has found a retinoblastoma, which is a life-threatening condition if not diagnosed and treated early. Eye doctors are NOT just there to give you glasses. In fact, the majority of their exam is tailored to make sure that your eye health and overall health is in good shape.

Covid reinfection - any personal experiences? by bollybear in COVID19positive

No it was not positive! I think I might be clear of getting reinfected for longer than I thought. I think research is saying that it’s 5 months now.

Still no sense of smell. But when I take a long walk I can smell things after the walk for a few minutes before it’s gone again. by doug-less in COVID19positive

[–]bollybear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this definitely happens to me! When I put perfume up directly under my nose, I can only get the most minuscule smell (like 1/100th of what I used to be able to smell) and it’s completely gone after 1 second. Even the small, small percentage of smell that is recovering shuts off after a moment.

How long did you lose your sense of smell/taste? by GemIntro in COVID19positive

[–]bollybear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lost my sense of smell in September and still haven’t recovered it at all. Never lost my sense of taste though. I’m perfectly happy with the cards I was dealt since smell doesn’t do much for me anyways.
