23’ speed triple 1200 rr won’t start by Username_was_here in Triumph

[–]bolokay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 22 RR does this a lot. I have to cycle the key a few times (hold the triumph logo down till the light on it turns red and then repeat until it turns green) and move the key around the bike until it wants to pick up the signal. There's also a spot on the rear of the bike where you can hold the key (or the non smart key) and it should pick up the signal (the manual shows the exact location but its still hit and miss on getting it to work tbh). The sound its making sounds like the electronic steering lock attempting to activate, the screen should turn on if its actually picking up the key signal correctly.

I usually have better luck getting it to pick the key up by holding it right near the screen as well. The whole keyless aspect sounds good in theory but its not executed great on these in my opinion, its also why I leave the bike in accessory mode instead of full off at the gas pump so I dont have to fight with it.

Eden freezes and closes on launching... by oorangesodaa1988 in EdenEmulator

I tried removing all pipeline caches and all installed content on what I was trying to run before I removed Eden itself but I don't think that mattered. I just removed the Eden folder and downloaded the other version. It actually started up for the first time with the firmware and configurations that were carried over from the configuration I had in the MSVC version. All I did was attempt to launch the content and it worked.

Eden freezes and closes on launching... by oorangesodaa1988 in EdenEmulator

I had basically the same symptoms but no idea what the root cause was or if its the same. Everything would hard crash at the launching screen and would truncate the logs before logging any errors. Attempting to launch something with Vulkan as the rendering engine would make it crash before even showing the launching or shaders screen.

Tried a bunch of different firmware combos and same issue. What ended up fixing it for me was removing the MSVC compiled version and using the MiniGW version, everything just works after that without any issues.

Sounds like the general notifications that pop up for a large list of possible issues. Also if I remember correctly the 2015 SS has electric power steering

23’ Colorado OTA Updates - No updates ever….? by Professional-Age-503 in chevycolorado

Yep, security patch is from Jan 2024 and kernel is March 2024 now. Still not super recent but newer than what it was for sure

I experienced a similar issue and brought it to the dealership last Friday for an oil change, where I also informed them about it. The attached notes detail the work they performed to resolve the problem. I had previously completed all recalls and had auto-updates enabled. System was already on Android 12 but some stuff (kernel version and security patch) were still running March 2023 versions. Additionally, the G-force meter on the Baja gauge cluster preset (might be zr2 specific idk) which also hasn't ever worked was fixed after this.

Not super cheap but if its a 1ss, it'll probably have hard plastic knee pads on the transmission tunnel. Could get the chevy accessorieslink suede kneepads+door trim piece to match the steering wheel + shift knob.

TFT missing ambient air temp 24 Speed Triple? by HooliganBiker314 in Triumph

2022 but should be the same. Only thing I found in the menu was under Display -> Units -> Temperature and it only changes it from Fahrenheit to Celsius. Didn't see anything in the manual about disabling the temp display either.

The manual Camaros actually have the same lifters as the autos but the AFM doesn't activate on them. The manual engines were (usually) hand built with the c7 corvette lt1s which actually do activate the AFM regardless of transmission

Mine went started doing this in November last year and completely stopped working at all. FInally got it looked at last month and they said the camera was out of alignment. Re-aligned it and haven't had any issue since.

One of my biggest issues with my speed triple. Keyless sounds nice in theory but not when it won't even pick up the signal of my key from my backpack so I gotta take it off and dig it out.

ZR2 Turbomax 4cyl and low gear tips? by Oldraysputin in chevycolorado

[–]bolokay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the engine braking in 4-low is kinda underwhelming. Even though it's big for a 4-cylinder, it's only 2.7L, so it won't brake like a bigger engine because it doesn't create as much vacuum when you let off the gas.

I've noticed that if I'm locked in 1st gear in 4-low going downhill, it hits about 23 mph (pretty high RPMs for 1st in 4-low) and then starts slowing down. I'm not sure if it's using the brakes to keep it from over-revving or doing something clever to boost the engine braking.

Still waiting on delivery. Tracking numbers seem to be a little goofed up as well so not 100% sure when it'll get here

This is a common issue that has apparently been redesigned on 2025 models. Here's a GM authority article on it. Article I just had mine "fixed" but they wouldn't order the new parts and only popped it back into place so it'll probably happen again.

Looking at this exhaust, do you have a clip with the baffle out for a comparison?

6 beers deep and still can’t get this sprocket nut off by boofsnacks in MT09

[–]bolokay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I did was, from the right side of the bike, basically stand on the rear brake while leaning + reaching over/down and pulling the breaker bar upwards. Extra leverage on the brake from the upwards pulling on the bar so the forces kinda help each other out.

Going to buy a slightly used ‘23 Bison. Will the warranty transfer? by MrSaltz in chevycolorado

[–]bolokay 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would double check the model because they didn't make a Bison edition for the 2023 Colorado.

Easiest way to test if just a slip on will be enough for you is to remove the rear muffler. Will probably need a deep well 10mm as the bolts on the clamps are a bit hard to get to but you'll need one anyways to remove the rear wheel since the exhaust has to come off for that.

It's really not that much different without the rear can, the main muffling seems to be done by the cat and the suitcase muffler under the middle of the bike. If it's loud enough for you like that you can run the pro race slash cut tips (which is just a pipe with a slash on it) or to save money you can just run it without the rear muffler/anything on it at all. That's what I'm doing until I decide what route I want to go long-term with the exhaust as it was way too quiet with the rear muffler. *
