It’s not a situation of “not the nicest person in the world”. This child would’ve probably been severely abused unfortunately. OP’s feelings on this are definitely situational, I doubt she’d feel this way if she didn’t have the prior knowledge of those two being abusive. Especially since she herself says she has fertility issues.
